I thought DLH won against Tito, but there were close rounds, and if you're generous to Tito, then I can see DLH not deserving the W. Round 1 was very close and neither guy did much. Oscar won rounds 2 and 3. Round 4 was another close round, highlighted by a left hook to the body by Oscar and a counter left hook upstairs by Tito. Oscar won rounds 5 thru 7. Round 8 was a close round, Tito landed some little short straight right hands and a late left hook to the head as Oscar was backing up. Everyone remembers Oscar starting to run in round 9, and that was another close round, but I thought Oscar's early combos and a straight right hand won it for him. Rounds 10-12, Oscar just ran, and Tito (barely) did better work.
You never "asked" shit about Hatton vs Mayweather....you're assuming I read every post of every thread. But as it happens, I'll sig bet you. You have Pavlik in the Taylor fight, so we'll maintain that little trend, I'll take Stepinfetchit, and you have Casper. Hows dem options???? Now put up, nut up, or shut the fuck up.
:: you were owned, but it's alright. A pretty mild ownage on the grand scale of past ownages,.. What Jake did to me once had usually sadistic members calling for calm and democracy,..Jake was a derranged and fucking depraved lunatic that day, nobody knows what set him off. But I got fucking savaged to put it mildly, and now I behave myself whenever he's presiding.
Yep,REED Smelled the STENCH of VAGINA from your Posts...U'll Gladly TALK SHIT about Floyd & BOOST Hatton @ Every Turn, even EMBARRASSING yourself N the Process... But when it's Time to WAGER on Floyd vs Hatton,U Wanna BET ON Floyd, even AFTER REED Made it CLEAR that HE's Taking Floyd... KKKoward.... REED
Winky/Vargas! I saw a close competitive fight all the way till the 12th round. I'm sure if you can score in favor on one guy and make a case for him. I think Winky could have won the fight but he was far from dominating like some claim he did.:: His biggest mistake was to fight Vargas' fight. I'm sure had Winky boxed him he would have beaten him easy. He didn't so he put himself in a close fight that didn't benefit him. As far as the score cards I do think they were way off in favor of Vargas. But the fight itself was close.
"Flippin The Script", I bleieve your ilk call it, no????  Oaky then, you poor afflicted, perpetually put upon and complaining ghetto Negro, I'll take the White kid if it makes you feel better, and you can keep building Kelly up in the process. If it makes you feel better of course. Rationally speaking, I think Floyd should beat him, so why would I sig bet on a potential loss???:dunno: After all, I refused to go on Pavlik, and he's white and everything:nono: :tease:  Then again, to make sure that there is one less whiny mullinyarn on the planet, I'll take Ricky. Knowing your luck, Ricky will beat him and you'll be not seen for months. Still, you were given a chance and you turned it down in a fit of childish hysterics. So be it.
Winkys people told him to run in the 12th. If you ask me, Winky had that guy figured, then failed to press it.
Damn, TWIN, I can't believe you of all people left out Roy-Tarver I. A fight where Roy CLEARLY won 7 rounds, yet some people couldn't let Tarver doing better than expected be enough - even idiots like Merchant came back with revisionist history bullshit six months later. "The night it happened, I scored it for Roy... but the more I thought about it, I believe Tarver deserved to win." Edit: I see Erratic had since mentioned it. Anyway, still stands, and was the first fight I thought of.
Thanks for Taking the Bait,OrthoDUNCE Crusader... Pavlik will BEAT Jermain & Render your Euro LUST for Lockjawed Abraham USELESS,THEN,Floyd will WIPE HIS ASS w/Casper,Rendering your Euro LUST for him even MORE USELESS... 1nce Again,REED is Taking Kelly Pavlik OVER Jermain Taylor & Floyd Mayweather OVER Ricky Hatton...30 Day Sig Bets APIECE,Scrub...If U're LUCKY,REED'll Allow your SORRY Ass to Sit @ the BACK of the Bus,Bitch... REED:clap:
Yeah tell Rosa to keep a seat for me. Otherwise she'll have to give hers up. If she doesn't like it, she can JUMP OFF THE BUS!! PS i was always going with Ricky. You think I'd sig bet for Floyd? To the death negro, to the death. You think I would sig bet FOR FLOYD???    To the death Boy, to the death. And son, I'll set the time limits, if its all the same to you. The limit on the Pavlik bet was already set to 1 week, and I told you so earlier. We also never agreed on sig-bet content, so you better get jiggy on that shit pal. When you do, get back to me, and then we'll settle on the length of the Hatton sig. Abraham is my Heavy Cavalry at 160. That shit is Religious. You have no place there, atheist Muslim worshipper. You can casually and conveniently ignore the fact that I go with Abraham and Taylor above Pavlik any day of the fucking week.
Abraham-Miranda ("BUT... but... but Miranda broke Abraham's jaw!") Forrest-Quartey Oliver-Stark Peter-Toney I (I admit, even I got caught up in this one) Bell-Brown Barrera-Morales II Morales-Chi
That fight wasn't even close. Even WITHOUT the deductions, Arthur had him by 2 points or so. Good call. Apart from that, I always figured this to be one of those fights where people simply went along with the tired old routine of pretending that guys who had gone to Germany and lost fair and square had in fact been "robbed". Fights in that mold include Magee-Tsypko {or was it Virchis} and Ottke-Tate. In particular, the Tate fight had shades of Miranda-Abraham in that Tate had cut Ottke but it was ruled as caused by a head butt and not a punch: a lot was made of this "robbery" but the reality is that Ottke just boxed Tate to death for the vast maj of the bout. This article is a classic example of how one moment of fleeting controversy can be written up as a total robbery, whilst subtley accepting that a guy has, for the large part, been beaten fair and square: http://www.boxingtimes.com/analyses/1999/990903ottke_tate.html Foreman-Briggs was kind of similar again: Briggs was supposed to have done a lot bette than he did, the fact that he didn't was enuff for people to begin imagining that Foreman was miles ahead, a classic example of mindset taking over.
Yeah right, more like the other way around. Every time somebody says he scored the bout for Tarver, some fanboy jumps at the person, telling them how moronic they are and how Roy CLEARLY won seven rounds. ::
Tarver blew it buddy......by standing and posing for waaaay too long. If anything Roy was also fighting the perception that because he beat Ruiz he should also whip Tarver, thus when Roy looked bad {mainly cos of the weight} people started to imagine that Tarver was doing really really well. He was, but in tiny bursts. Not enuff.
Of course I have given up, the perception is if Tarver does nothing, it´s called posing, if Roy does nothing it is called ring generalship. It´s the same with Floyd Mayweather. You earn reputation and it was on Roy´s side that night, just like it was on Floyd´s side, when he "beat" Castillo, although that was an even worse decision. I´m not arguing the decision anyway, I´m arguing people saying, there is no way you can score the bout for Tarver.
You can score it for the Tooth Fairy if you want, all I am is saying is that Roy looked so bad that people got the impression Roy was losing when he wasn't. Instead it was Antonio fronting while Roy sneaked a rest here, a combo there. That said I see your point on the "ring generalship" thing.
I said Hatton was "The Champ".... If I wanted to get pissy, I could have argued it all day. But I fessed up: I made a mistake....as much born of mindset as anything else. For me, Collazo was just another guy. I guess Ricky looked at it that way too.
dsimon writes: :bears: Absolutely. And it really sucks because it is a mrk against Hopkins where none should exist. Ditto for Winky.
dsimon writes: And that is the point that people are so willing to overlook:dunno:. When you give a round to the other guy that was practically a 10-8... that is a robbery.
DLH-Sturm was an atrocious robbery, though. I know of very few people outside of DLH who honestly believe he should've won. Bernard's claim that Oscar pulled it out in the later rounds was more promotionally driven than anything else - though indicative that the once-proud Hopkins isn't above selling out for the right price (the price then being $10 million)
