The fight is SANCTIONED by the Nevada Commission NOT by Mayweather promotions. The only thing out of the bag is the FEAR Mayweather camp has of Pacquaio, the Mexican killer and multidivisional champion.

 

The fight is off because Pacquioa, a confirmed juicer, has run away from one of the worlds most sophisticated steroid detecting procedures, you cant point the finger at Mayweather, for wanting a clean and fair fight between the two of them, it's his right, because he's the one who's going to be in the ring taking those suspiciously supernatural punches.

 

I don´t give a shit, if the fight is off. Manny doesn´t want to do the random Olympic standard pre-fight testing there is only one conclusion to draw. Only a very dumb person would assume it is that Mayweather fears Pacquiao. ::
Or that Manny is afraid of needles, superstitious, disrupted or weakened by the little blood drawing. What he doesn´t want is to give blood and urine at an unspecified time before the fight, because it could interfer with his training "regime". No athlete fears a post competition test. I think it´s actually awesome Mayweather did this and it should be enforced prior to all major title fights, since this can be a lethal combat sport, unlike say cycling.

Anyway, I'm actually hearing different things about the timing. If it's Pacquiao not wanting to take a blood test within 30 days of the fight, which that report stated, then that's some bullshit right there. You're going to be on a cycle while in training and that's when you'd reap the benefit of the PEDs. That looks suspicious. I think Freddie Roach though has said that it's fine as long as it isn't a day or two before the fight. Which also wouldn't make much sense either, to test it then. Why would you want to do the blood test right before the fight? You'd want to take it while in training while the drugs would be still in the system.

I was PSYCHED for the fight but now wouldn't mind Pacquaio fighting the winner of Mosley-Berto, a better matchup for him anyway.

Pacquiao's fights with De La Hoya and Hatton were supposed to be "dead" at one point, as was Mayweather-De La Hoya.

I agree wholeheartedly with this post. As others in the thread have said, Manny has practically carried boxing for the last 12-18 months. He has almost single-handedly brought boxing back into mainstream thinking again. If he really is cheating, and it is worth remembering that there is absolutely no proof at this stage that he is, then the damage it would do to the sport would be incalcuable IMHO.
