    Rhetoric? Are you fucking insane?

Those are facts, you can't twist them. 6 out of 7 opponents were coming off a win.

Cotto beat the shit out of Paulie far worse than Hatton did.

That's the hilarious thing. The people detracting from Pacquiao are Floyd fans

Floyd is a fucking joke compared to Manny, in 3 years he's fought fat little featherweight Marquez who looked downright vulnerable at lightweight let alone welterweight, and a 40 year old Mosley.

Pacquiao's resume does a big smelly shit all over Floyd's, from a great height.

The same Marquez that schooled the shit out of Pacquiao. Juan said himself that he would go after Floyd because Manny don't want none. Juan went to the phillipines to call him out for the trilogy but Pac went to 135 to fight the worst belt holder there.

Marquez was on better form going into the Floyd fight than Pacs recent opposition. Also you complain that Marquez had to come up but obviously have no problems with Manny making guys kill themselves to make his catchweight.

    Yes I am.

Clottey is in decline? Really? Since when?

Hatton was in decline, of course Oscar too, they both have been for years.

Cotto is debatable. He just got a pretty good win over Foreman actually. He's just a fairly fragile fighter with bad stamina, not necessarily in decline.

Plasterito is not in decline, he's just a scrub without his magic wraps, who can take a fuck load of punishment. David Diaz wasn't in decline either.

Do you think Mosley and Marquez were in their prime when Floyd fought them?

Clottey is nothing but a gatekeeper anyway, hes just hyped because Floyd hasn't got in the ring with him. Margaritos whole career is built off of Floyd not fighting him, because what he has accomplished in the ring is nada.

Only a shameless Floyd groupie would defend that fight.

And no, Marquez was not in better form. He looked downright vulnerable at 135, despite managing to get a couple of good wins.

Impressive wins, but he looked like he didn't really belong at 135.

And yet Floyd fights him at welterweight?

He hasn't even fought at 140, let alone welterweight. That fight was a joke.

None of Pacquiao's opponents have looked drained apart from Oscar, he also demolished Hatton at his natural weight, not 147 like Floyd made him come up to.

I agree that Clottey isn't a great fighter, but that's completely irrelevant. The fact is, he's not in decline like neil is suggesting.

He's also a natural welterweight in his prime, you know, the type of fighter that Floyd has NEVER fought.

He Ko'd Diaz in a FOTY and schooled the shit out of Cassamayor the real champ at 135 at the time after getting robbed against Pacman.

It's amazing how Pactards will discredit Floyds opponents when they are in much better form that Pacs opponents are.

Yeah Cotto fought everybody in Arum stable....but he avoided Mayweather. Mayweather wanted to fight Cotto at 140 after he was struggling to make weight. Once Cotto was making his proper weight at 147 w/ a few victories under his belt...Quintana, Judah..then Mosley...Mayweather magically decided to retire instead of fighitng Cotto, Margarito, Williams, or any threatening Welter...

That was at 135 pounds, what don't you understand about that?

Marquez had no business at 147. He got stunned by Juan Diaz ffs.

He looked vulnerable against both Diaz and Casamayor, despite getting the wins.

Like I said, that fight was a joke.

Even though Clottey is hardly a great fighter, he would beat the shit out of Marquez at 147.

So all of a sudden it's a weight thing why Floyd wanted to fight him. What ever man, just admit Cotto and Top Rank wanted none of Floyd.

    Clottey, read the post.

He's not a great fighter, but he's a natural welterweight in his prime, a type of fighter Floyd is yet to fight.

    He wasn't vulnerable against Cassamayor.

Marquez is a great fighter, lots of great fighters have fought smaller great fighters.

You must think that all Mannys fights are jokes too since he isn't a real welterweight fighting welterweights and jr middleweights.

So Marquez was in a FOTY vs. a guy Nate Campbell schooled...?

and Marquez schooled Casamayor? The same Casamayor that got one of the biggest gift decision ever vs. Santa Cruz...that was one fight Casamayor lose easily...but got the gift decision....

so really those guys were not that great...they were not better than Cotto, Clottey and Margarito...

The fights are not jokes because Manny is winning them, against all odds.

Floyd fighting Marquez is a joke, because he's a featherweight who has never fought at 140 or 147.

Who has Marquez beaten at 140 or 147? No one, because he's not a welterweight. After fighting Floyd, he's back at lightweight.

The fact that Floyd went the distance with a fat, 37 year old featherweight is more pathetic than the fact that the fight got made.

    He's also much smaller.

Clottey and Plasterito would destroy Casamayor.

Doing what he does best, beating the shit out of the best available opposition, unlike Floyd.

Tell me roy, how good a win do you think the Marquez win is for Floyd compared to Pacquiao's wins at 147 against Cotto, Clottey and Plasterito?

Hagler went the distance with a fat lightweight and he was a middleweight.

How about giving Marquez credit for moving up in weight against a great fighter to challenge himself.

According to you this thread is a joke since it's about a blown up 140lber fighting a middleweight champ.

Pacquiao is the exception to the rule. Most great fighters don't come close to transcending weight classes like Pacquiao.
