Roach said he couldn't make it....Manny said far before Juan Diaz beat Julio Diaz that he was staying at 130. So if that is your reasoning, it's incorrect.

It makes no sense. How are you going to tell the public that you are staying at 130 when you trainer is saying you cant make the weight

    ....

Who knows a person's body better than the actual person? Pacquiao may have struggled with weight a bit this fight because of all his BS. However if you look at several of his other fights before this 1 he wasn't even at 130, not a sign of a guy who can't make weight. if I remember correctly in the 3rd Morales fight he weighed 128.5. Manny's not even that big at 130, he has no bussiness moving up again.

mannys weight during fight night was 144 so moving up to 135 is not a crazy idea.

I would rather see Manny stay at 130 for a while to fight more big names. The big fights at 135 will still be there in a year or so.

After the MAB rematch Roach said that manny's plan was to move up and win a tittle at 135 then go back down to 130. I guess the plan is not to campaign at 135. Juan Diaz and those 3 belts have to be attractive to manny right now.

Unofficial weight. If a guy is fully clothed that can add on about 5 pounds. Pacquiao is not big at 130. Never has been amd never will be.

Exactly. To me that was all a pretext for his potential slight lack of conditioning for the Barrera fight.

Pac is bigger than people realize (he's by no means a "blown up" 118 or 122 lber) but like I've said I am absolutely convinced he can make 130 comfortably for the next 2 years at least.

And who cares whether he's "running" or not?

The fact is 135 lbs. would be a dangerous move for Pac any way you slice it.

Team Pacquiao are mulling their options and weighing (no pun intended) different potential opponents and routes to take.

    So what?

Valero is PERFECTLY credible and would be an awesome fight at 130.

So would the winner of Guzman-Soto.

    So is Marquez II.

    There's plenty to do there.

If Pacquiao elects not to move up - but instead faces any one of those three; that is more than credible and it is a bold step and a great fight.

I can understand some saying that Marquez is already on the decline - and he is - but the fact is that is a fight that needs to happen in the next year.

    Peace.

this is typical negotiating - letting everyone in and around his division know that he's got plenty of options and nobody's takin too much

I agree that Pacman is bigger than people realize, and SOLID at 130, but that's exactly what he is, he IS blown up  He started at flyweight and had half his career there.

the same people that is talking shit for manny fighting valero are the same people that were ready to talk shit about manny for skipping 130 lbs and not fighting soto, guzman and surprise.....valero. He's the most dangerous of the 3, guzman have a chance of outboxing pacquiao and soto would get starched, he's too stationary. Valero is the only one with the power and resolve to beat and/or KO Pacquiao. He's a true 130 lbs fighter.
