Well like I said, my initial thought was yeah, Manny must be on PEDs. The main reason I changed my mind was (like I said, I do generally adopt an innocent until proven guilty approach) - and two - I hate being told what to do, which is why I'm self employed  - and I could imagine myself refusing, especially if I was innocent.

It sounds stupid, but I think I would be more inclined to refuse IF I was innocent than otherwise. My attitude would be "I've done nothing wrong, no history of PEDs, fuck you!".

If I was actually taking PEDs? I think my attitude would be more along the lines of "Oh fuck, they're onto me, uh, better just agree to the testing and think of something, get some new stuff, get some good masking agents" etc

Honestly, that is a large part of why I hold the opinions I do.

It could of course be that Manny is on PEDs, it could even be that Manny hates blood tests.

But for me, it's not enough to call him guilty, although like I said, it does seem a lot more suspicious than if he'd just said "No, I'll do the NSAC's tests".

What I said is true though, I'm not a teenage fanboy, if the roles were reversed, I might not argue as passionately, but my attitude would be the same.

I understood this already - where you explain his refusal is not an admission of guilt. Fair enough. Unfortunately, his lies are...lies.

Yep, I was just justifying my position, and conveying my thought process. My opinions aren't born from being a Pacquiao fan, they are considered. A nuthugger wouldn't even entertain a negative perspective of his favourite fighter.

And like I said, I think the lies came about from them initially saying they would do the tests, hoping they could get Floyd to back off with their own demands, which I guess would have been an easy way out of the tests.

Anyway, as I said the other day, as fun as it is arguing with you Kenneth, shouldn't we be discussing Floyd - Mosley and Pacquiao - Clottey rather than the drug testing over and over and over again?

I'll say this, I know it's suspicious, and I'm not saying I think he is definitely innocent, but at the same time, I'm not prepared to just assume he is guilty either.

How much of a realistic chance do you give Josh against Manny?

Nah, the lies didn't come from that. They're either stupid one way or stupid the next and I can understand why people don't want to admit it. Especially when the guy who pulled the rug right from under them is Floyd, the most hated. Really sad. I've been ragging on Floyd for so long - I even accused him of being a p*ssy when he used the Mosley is on roids excuse. But right is right and any athlete who turns down OST should be called to the carpet. Regardless of who asked for them or why.

As for Clottey, I give him no chance.

Same here, I give him no chance. He can fight, but he is not a winner, and Pacquiao is. Pretty simple :kidcool: That, and Pacman is simply much better.

Why do you think they lied then? Why didn't they just refuse from the beginning?

And I acknowledge Pacman could well be on PEDs, you'd be on idiot not to entertain the idea after this whole thing.

But are you telling me, you don't even acknowledge the possibility that he might NOT be on peds, and that there could be another reason for refusing the tests?

Clottey has a Buster Douglas' chance. He just went life and death with Cotto - wait till that first straight left hits the pit of his stomach. He may amaze some on March 13 with new ways to get out of a tough fight. That's if Pacquiao's big noggin is too hard to butt.

How could they refuse the testing right away? Imagine how it would sound if negotiations died on DAY ONE because of that? Doesn't make much sense. Plus, they never really refused. They just tried to change the testing to what would work best for them. Quite frankly, they've pretty much told you how he cycles. If he was scared of needles, he would NEVER think of taking the tests. If he's afraid he'd be weakened if it's done within a day of the fight then he would've accepted 14 days. Basically, they tried to wiggle out of it. And when that didn't work, they just ran. I think they played it smart but got outplayed by a better team. And quite frankly, one that probably knows he's juicing. No wonder Arum hates Haymon. Sure he may not be on PEDs. I doubt it very much, always have for other reasons. But never really cared. After this...I'm as positive as you can be without actually seeing him do it.

He's given his reason Mex,.. it took a while to get a story together, but they settled on Manny being weakenned for 24 days by a blood sample,... he can attend a kareoke party straight after a 12 round pro-fight, but a blood sample, (of which I assume most of us have taken before) absolutely fucks him up. If this is another lie, (which it obviously is) ...what are they 'embarrased' about revealing?.. that he looks like a pussy for being afraid of needles,... oh wait,.. :crafty: they already used that one... or could it be the more likely fact that he doesn't want to get caught out?

Well the opinions I was trying to get at with this thread really weren't so much whether or not Pac is on the juice, or whether or not his excuses were stupid, embarrassing, lies. Which they were.

I was genuinely curious as to whether or not this was just smacktalk by Roach to perhaps try and repair some of Manny's image in light of the drug testing fiasco, or was he serious? Also, the title of the article I linked to was pretty clearly indicating that Pac would face the winner of PBF/SSM. Yet Roach's statements were a bit more ambiguous. Although I think after reading the article, it was clear (at least to me) that Roach was indeed talking about facing the winner, not just SSM if he pulled it out.

Plus Roach clearly indicates he thinks PBF wins anyway.

So all I was wondering was - does Roach mean it? He is usually pretty straighforward about who Manny will fight. And if he means what he is saying - then what the Hell? Doesn't everyone agree that unless the purse split went 60/40 to Floyd or something, there is no way PBF drops the drug test stipulation?

So in the end I was wondering if anyone thought that this was Roach saying "Yeah we'll take the tests."? Otherwise he should shut his mouth and stop giving fans like me hope if they are just going to shit on the fight at the negotiating table again.

I'm gonna be honest. I don't think he's on the juice/PED. However, I don't give a fuck, if anyone questioned my integrity you best believe I'm gonna prove it to you just to shut you up. Not to mention I would be getting paid to do so. Oh hell yeah I'm submitting blood urine and semen if they want it! I'll Holla 5000

Bob Arum is the one choosing opponents for Pacquiao and he has made it very clear he wants Antonio Margarito next for Manny Pacquiao.
