Excellent post \. CDOGG is owned . Anyone who says Pernell Whitaker was "beautiful" to watch has to be Hip Hop lover.
Roy Jones Jr. Manny Pacquiao Floyd Mayweather Jr and maybe Bernard Hopkins truly GREAT but there are another 10 guys that are future hall of famers, including Calzaghe
THAT was an excellent post? Its a ridiculous string of made-up "facts" about me I know you hate certain fighters (well, pretty much ALL fighters) but when you endorse a post like the one above it only diminishes your credibility I mean, anyone with any sense could clearly see what Caligula is doing in this and several other threads with me. He is running away from the truth and from irrefutable proofs laid out by me for all to see and continuing to insist on a fantasy about who I am and what I stand for. Pernell Whitaker was a master in the ring and if his name was Miguel Angel Santana and he was from Culiacan, Caligula would be sayng that too The difference between us is that I would still be saying it too
I think Pernell was a great fighter. I just took exception to what you said about JC Chavez in the "When did you stop lioking a fighter" knowing that you were STILL a big fan of a crackhead. It's a different philosophy. Some look only at the ring behavior. Some look at everything. I'm a lifelong Bronco fan and I can tell you I would burn everything I own if we signed Michael "Dog Killer" Vick as a QB (and I was a Vick fan since his college days). I remember someone here (I believe it was Hex-One) was saying that Erik Morales is an asshole (stemming from some of his post fight comments about Barrera) and said he wished that Diego Corrales would just destroy him. So this guy wishes an ex gang member who beat his wife's ass and threw her down the stairs then moved out of town to train while she was still in the ICU would beat up a guy who talked disrespect about an opponent. Makes perfect sense. But That's a boxing fan for you. :notallthere:
Totally agree Even when talking about Whitaker or Chavez, I was only talking about them as fighters not as men. Both left a lot to be desired, truthfully. I am with you on Vick, but to me what he did is worse than anything Chavez or Whitaker did. Chavez became drunk on his power and his name and became a detestable sore loser who could ot handle not being the center of attention anymore... Whitaker became a drug addict, a sad human being... to me both of them were hurting themselves and their close associates more than anyone else... they are both more sad than malicious. What Vick was doing is something that to me speaks deeper to the conscience of the person... if you like to watch captive animals kill one another because you have trained and abused them to get them to that place, then you are a sick person. No amount of athletic excellence or entertainment value could diminish that in my mind Whitaker and Chavez are both victims of their success to at least some extent, its easier to have some forgiveness for both of them as people Vick is just a scumbag, as anyone in that "business" is
Would you be extra pissed off if they not only signed Vick, but had dog fighting for half time shows at Mile High Stadium?
