Chad needs to get this Hatian bum back in for a rematch asap! Its a disgrace he gave away so many rounds to such a mediocre fighter.

    I doubt it now, honestly.

I used to think Chad would beat him but his style wouldnt' let him do it. He would try to stay outside and avoid exchanges and Hopkins would work him over on the inside with body shots and combinations.

Hopkins is nowhere near what he was years ago but Sad Chad is not that great either. He lacks a bit of heart IMO.

the fact that hopkins couldve had a fight with dawson on the table for the better part of 2 years and then immediately jumped into this bout shows where his mind was at. pascal was vulnerable because he is simply a tough, athletic guy with no game plan and no real boxing mind. dawson thoroughly whips hopkins but we shall never see it. dawson had pascal out as well, but circumstances cost him a victory, despite his lackluster performance.

Neil and Xplosive have this distorted, glorified view of how good Doorson is.

He's an average world champion, the same level of fighter as Pascal, the guy he lost to.

Hopkins is an elite fighter, Pascal isn't. Hopkins wins a clear decision over Average Chad Dawson.

Naw Dawson is just not busy enough. He's too worried about getting hit because he knows he can be dropped. That was the main thing that cost him the victory, plus he underestimated this bum.

But I could see him getting neutralized against Hopkins.

for a guy who adamantly claims mayweather jr wants no part of pacquiao, we would all love to know why you think it is that Hopkins has had zero interest in facing dawson* and then immediately fought his conqueror?

stylistically dawson presents many more challenges for hopkins than pascal did.

i agree, he underestimated pascal and was also fucked out of a stoppage due to circumstances.

I'm not upset with the draw. That's what two knockdowns gets you.

Plus...it's Hopkins...fuck Hopkins. I'm glad he didn't get the win.

i wasnt scoring it but it appeared that hopkins got the better of things overall. he is a medical marvel to be performing at this level at his age.

im just amused by how big of a uproar all the hopkins diehards are attempting to stir over the decision. the guy did well and people saw what they saw. him not getting the decision aint the end of the world. its not like he had planned on defending the light heavyweight title should he have received the decision. i highly doubt he wouldve hopped back into a rematch in the fall or summer with pascal if he had won a decision.

Here's how I got to 114-112 for Pascal, but there are some rounds that were close enough to go to either fighter and on 2 of those I went to Pascal:

    P, P, P, H, P, H, H, P, H, H, H, P

I had Hopkins by 2 points.

But also I liked to add that Whitebreadland (Canada) lived up to that moniker. Never had I seen more pale white people in a crowd with absolutely ZERO minorities in the crowd. I mean damn,I was almost blinded by the whiteness of that crowd:pointlaugh::lol::laughing:

It wasnt. With better quality video you can clearly see it was a punch to the back of the head.

    Hopkins was robbed.

It's nice watching Hopkins getting Knocked Down. The first one was behind the head, but the second one of a legit Left Hook. I wanted to see Hops with glazed eyes.

Sure, BHop was Almost Certainly ROBBED, but he's a HARD Guy to Feel Sorry for...Nonetheless, BHop Showed the Workrate & Aggression that Boxing Fans have WANTED To See in MOST of his Last Several Fights...

Jean Pascal SQUANDERED a STRONG Start & was Basically DOMINATED from the 5th or 6th Round On...Pascal's 1st Knockdown was IFFY, but the 2nd was CLEARCUT...Yet, Instead of PRESSING the Geriatric Future Hall of Famer Before him, Pascal's Effort Actually REGRESSED from that Point Onward...

You Could have EASILY Given Bernard the Last 6 Fucking Rounds....The Mere FACT that 1 of Pascal's Knockdown's was QUESTIONABLE, yet the Fight was STILL a DRAW, Illustrates who TRULY WON the Fight...

As a CERTIFIED RJ Lover, it's DIFFICULT for REED to Give Bernard Hopkins his Props, but the Bottom Line is, he DID NOT Get Beaten Tonight....

It was ruled a slip though, not because of a punch to the back of the head. It should have been ruled a KD. Great fight.

I had a draw but I could see the case for Hopkins. A very good fight. And remember, when Roberto Duran was at Hopkins' age he fought William Joppy and didn't look quite like this. That tells you what a remarkable fighter this cockroach is.

Neither did Ray Robinson, Ezzard Charles, Muhammed Ali, Roy Jones, Ray Leonard or Jesus of Nazareth.

Robbed by the judges 3 times in a fortnight. I retire from my short career in boxing betting. Broke even over the month and it was fun, but this jazz is too frustrating.
