How can we expect that? Because thats what the meaning of the word champion is to me. You aren't a champion if you're fighting guys who don't deserve to be in the ring with you.

You think he's earned the right to start milking the fans? So be it. You pay for it. I sure as hell won't and I'll be doing everything I can to make sure other's don't either.

Lemme ask you a question. Who should he fight right now? Now I'm not saying he should milk his titles but damn 3 tough ass fights back to back to back. Name another champion or fighter that has done what Pavliks done. Pavlik has earned the right to get a softie but then he needs to fight a big name fighter in the fall to end 2008. I'll Holla 5000

Abraham, Wright, Calzaghe, Kessler, Mundine, Lacy, Sturm, Sylvester, Asikainean, Lorenzo, Bute, Brahmer, Bika...ANYONE who is ranked and considered a better than shit fighter. Someone who has earned the right to be in the ring with a champion. Not fucking bum ass Lockett.

You're mising the point. I don't give a shit if nobody else is doing what Kelly did in three consecutive fights. That you're even mentioning this is part of the problem.

Again, he hasn't earned shit IMO. You NEVER get that right until you let go of your claim. Until then, but up and fight the best. Nobody ever said being a champion should be easy work. It's supposed to be the hardest thing around and this rubbish diminishes what it means to hold a belt.

Abraham just had a fight, Calzaghe is fighting B-Hops, Kessler won't even fight his left overs, Bute is abouts to fight Roy and prolly make more money and the other guys aren't really big name fighters. I would actually consider those guys as soft touches as well. I agree I would love to see a Wright fight. Hell he even accepted Wrights challenge but Arum vetoed that shit fight from happening. I agree that champions should continue to fight anyone and everyone but damn 2 out of 3 big name fights in 1 year is huge for a champion. However if we are going to hold Pavlik to this standard then this must apply to all champions. I'll Holla 5000

As for the picture of the start of the thread, he clearly has a receding hairline.

Uh, :nono: the difference is, I'm a racial 'defender',.. whereas he's a racial defender AND a racial OFFENDER, it's the former which I miss the most about his presence, he's also a witty, devious and intelligent poster who is capable of delivering some divine gems over a wide variety of subjects when he wants to. His race battles with Reed are absolutely glorious, they come together, and spin pure gold.

Gary Lockett is a soft touch no doubt. However, I am pleased that he is at least a genuine middlweight, I would be more annoyed if he ended up facing alex bunema, spinks, ouma etc.
