I agree that Floyd will try to jab and move his way to a points win, but it is very, very difficult to dissuade Manny simply by throwing lots of jabs and the odd right hand; presuming of course that Floyd actually throws plenty of jabs and right hands...

I mean, Cotto, IMHO, jabbed very nicely in the first five rounds against Manny, and hit him flush with some very solid looking jab-right hand combos, yet Manny continued to pick his punches almost at will and dropped Cotto twice; and the second time was a HARD knockdown. This he can do because he has all the right attributes- tremendous workrate, excellent chin; lightening hand and footspeed and frightening pop in both hands.

It is the speed and power elements that cause the most bother. Most people range-find with the jab, but Manny's southpaw jab is a brain-scrambling punch which comes from all kinds of crazy angles and is generally followed by probably the most potent left hand in the sport. Cotto said himself that he tired himself out trying to get out of the way of punches he couldn't even see coming and these are the shots that cause the most damage.

Manny hits super hard and moves super fast- probably faster than even Mayweather, who himself is ultra quick. Mayweather is gonna find himself facing a shit load of incoming at angles he's never seen before and at a speed and ferocity that not many thus far have been able to handle.

Even JMM, who somehow has the formula to give Manny plenty, has been dropped a bagful of times and owes his relative successes to an outstanding ability to recover. Does floyd have the same re-cuperative powers? We don't know, because he's never really had to fight out of the trenches.

So many imponderables: such a great fight

Cotto jabs a lot harder than PBF. All Pacquiao had to do was move his head more. Once he did that, Cotto's jab was no longer a factor.

Pacquiao vs Mayweather solved in 2 lines.

"Pacquiao move head, solved Cotto hard jab. Floyd weaker jab, Manny moving still head. Manny easy win."

Bet your houses on Manny gentleman.

    I hope for everyone's sake you're right.
However there's nothing in the latter part of PBF's career that indicates to me that he has any interest whatsoever in fighting the best available competition.
    We'll see...
