One Karl Hegman picked Rahman to win the return easily and knock Lewis out again.

You have to have laced em up yourself to be such an astute observer and analyst of the sport.

Seriously a lot of ex boxers are notorious know-nothings of the sport. Not necessarily Karl, but he has his days...

Max Kellerman was predicting the same sh*t as Stinger. Rahman KO Lewis in 5 or 6. And Kellerman is highly regarded by some.

Kellerman needed to take a shower after every time he talked about Rahman...or maybe not.

Either way, he was as off as you can be.

Surprising to me that so many were, I thought that outcome was pretty predictable.

But then, there was a lot of hope in a lot of those predicts.

Lewis never got his due while he was active. He was never a killer guy and he spoke English reasonably well. He didn't rape people or talk about sodomy and cannibalism. I never was a fan of Lewis but he was a pretty great fighter. Rahman was not.

I meant highly regarded by a lot of guys on here including Reed and Jake. I made a thread a year ago questioning Kellerman's boxing acumen and a lot of guys here regarded him highly. Not so much his predictions but his knowledge of the sport overall.
Although in my view, it doesn't matter how much you know about boxing history. If you can't predict fights somewhat correctly at least 60% of the time then you know jack sh*t about the sport. Which is why I don't really rate Kellerman. Anybody can read a history book and show off their knowledge by bringing up all these old fighters' names whom most have never heard of, leaving guys scratching their heads during a conversation.
    Kellerman loves doing that.

I thought Rahman could have been a real special Champion, but it was not meant to be, and that is Rahman's fault, no one else's.

As far as this "Free Ike" fairy goes, I'll destroy him and he will see who is fat and who is not when I break his neck.

Is "Free Ike" the next "Maverick" here on fightbeat??

Meaning: if she keeps pushing on a mesage board, let's do this in person and settle it.

True. This is what happens when you base your picks on nationality or not liking fighter's style instead of actual analysis. Coming up with excuses for the pick does not save the day

I found it very odd that you called Lewis lackadaisical, lazy, china-chinned and muscle-bound considering the performances he had put up, having been involved in some of the more entertaining heavyweight fights of his era. What exactly did Rahman do up to then that impressed you so much more than Lewis, Stinger? :dunno: Rahman is extremely limited, always was. His destructive beatdown at the hands of Lewis again was a proof of Rahman's class....B class at best.
I like you Stinger but you really support some shitty fighters and tend to really overrate their talents. I have a feeling Rahman likely gave you a lot of attention when you requested interviews from him for websites which is why you supported him. He was kind of a people's champion and was cordial with his fans during his very short stint as world champion. Even Kellerman was sucking on his nuts at every turn till reality finally hit.

Please Stinger. Rahman did not have anywhere near the talent to be special. He was very limited. His true talent is what you saw in the Lewis rematch and Holyfield fights. He didn't have any special talent at all and he would've died at the hands of Vitali had they fought in 2004.

That's because you know nothing about boxing. Rahman was very average. Although average is something you couldn't achieve in 2 lifetimes, unless winning a John Wayne Gacy look-alike and act-alike contest.

Listen Pedo, this is a message board not a "mesage" board. Much like the local prostitute, I wouldn't touch any part of you for any amount of money, rolly polly.

Just keep your twinky trap shut, fatass.

I've got nothing against Chris Henry but I feel Stinger's friendship with certain fighters makes him a little biased in discussions and he tends to overrate them. It's normal I guess. Stinger was friends with Hasim Rahman.

Lewis had many exciting fights. Fights where he didn't at all protect his chin and went out there, guns blazing. Remember Mercer, Briggs, Grant, Golota, Vitali, Mercer, Ruddock, etc? He opened up on these guys, also had some other decent performances against the likes of Ruddock, Morrison and Botha. He gave boxing fans, as a whole, a good amount of highlight reel KO clips. Not a bad career at all. He also had some of the best escapades outside of the ring. The Lewis/Rahman tv set brawl, the Lewis/Tyson press conference.
Lewis routinely made himself the center of controversy without even trying. Imagine if he was American, talking like a 'brother' and swearing like hell! Americans would've hailed this guy even higher than they did to Tyson.

It would be highly amusing to me if this guy KOd Wlad, but its not going to happen. Wlad is going to cautiously butcher him

actually I figured Sanders would just show up to get paid and find a nice soft spot on the canvas to lie down on and then get back to golfing:lol:

This new "improved" Wlad makes sure that crystal chin and tissue paper skin doesnt see any action by jabbing, clinching, jabbing some more and clinching some more and eventually KOing his tired, small, shitty opponent

This fight was made too soon,... I dont really know if this is a mismatch or not,.. Heavyweight is not like other divisions, where being a highly regarded fighter in a weight below, usually means you will have success one weight class above,... cruiserweight to heavyweight can mean 50lbs worth of difference, I do acknowledge that Haye is really a heavyweight and can't make 200lbs anymore,.. but with his career long glass chin as a cruiser,.. that does not bode well facing a FIT, 250lb framed fighter... who humbles iron-chinned career long heavyweights, with just his jab.

agREED on Sanders. But who could have guessed that the "physically superior" Wlad would be so fragile? For Sanders, it was like hitting the lottery.

Haye is really tearing it up!!!
