Great. Now Wlad and Vitali can get out of a fight with that Killer David Haye, because Haye has gone from a chinny cruiserweight to a 220lb heavyweight who has buckets of stamina and is knocking everyone out*......so me might be on PED's

Those photos were all taken the best part of 10 years ago. The guy was 220lbs when he debuted at the age of 20 after the Olympics and was 235 2.5 years later, and has floated between 235 and 245 since then.

Adamek, by contrast, has put on 45lbs in 3 years, and I dont see anyone in the Arreola camp complaining.

I think Povetkin just lacks balls, or else this is Thuggy Atlas way of getting at the Klitschkos for not allowing them to fuck up Wlads career.

No, "those guys" did not. Vitali however did, as an am test positive for a banned substance. I can't find anything that says exactly what he took, but he freely admits it happened, and it was given to him by his doctor to help heal a leg injury, which is very common. He claims that he didn't know it was a banned substance. For what ever that is worth.

Proof is knowing the sports training system of former Soviet Union and knowing the testing systems of USA. People from Ukraine know everything about doping (plenty of their athletes have been caught) while officials in US never test athletes during training seasons. It doesn't really take big effort to do the math

Yes, and Ukraine has continued its great traditions. Plenty of Ukrainian track-and-field athletes for example have been busted throughout the years. In those countries getting caught from doping is not seen as a big deal at all. In US it is a big deal, that's why they don't want to find out the truth

Sound like a bunch or speculation to me. How about some actual proof if you're going to say something is fact.

Okay...so the world is roiding. Great. So far we have one Ukrainian and one Filipino, both of whom have been found guilty by way of failing the "Whisper Test" as laid down by the pharmaceutical firm of Floyd, Ellerbee and Oscar.

Many athletes could be roiding or PEDing. It's just that the tests that boxers take currently aren't adequate tests. Just like when baseball started their drug testing. We see that there was hella baseball players testing positive. I just don't understand why so many are against the extra testing. What's wrong with making sure that our athletes are who they are. If you aren't using then take the damn tests. Make a point to the world. Besides you know what that would do for the image of Manny if he took those tests and they all came back negative. That shit would be wild. I'll Holla 5000

Well 'Dawg, as I said above, Manny has moved thru the weight divisions, from Flyweight to Welterweight {145} and has shown a sudden, marked improvement. He also turned down a $40m pay day.

Klitschko has put on 22lbs in 14 years and has actually gone backwards in terms of his explosive style. He has nothing to lose by avoiding Povetkin. More pertinently, he does not have $40m to gain.

I dont think they are remotely similar circumstances.

What do you mean he "freely admits it?" He was caught and kicked off his Olympic team. WTF was he supposed to do? He did what they all do - claim it was for an injury. Please.

He took the substances on medical advice, via a General Practitioner. He was kicked off because he failed a test, not because he had tried to gain an illegal advantage. He had no real advantage to gain from taking this substance outside the scope of a training programme, and a large part of his refusal to appeal was grounded in Wladimir getting his place. This was not a Balco type affair, when you get right down to it.

When you get right down to it, he tested positive for steroids. Mark McGwire used them for injuries too - I guess Mr. pHD in sports medicine did too.

Actually, there has scant light shed on what he tested positive for. Even rudimentary positive tests usually name a substance, Nandrolne, Stanozolol, Ephedrine, Pseduo-Ephedrine, etc.

Well, when a chap is detained by the police, is it not usual to ask what the charges are?

Mike Katz, formerly of "House of Boxing", said it was a diuretic.

Arreola should be one of the LAST people in boxing to complain about weight gain.

Diuretics are not steroids, for openers.

Secondly, it illustrates how scant light has been shed on this matter.

Of course, they probably didnt figure Vitali to become such a pain in the ass down the line, so they let it slide.....

So you're saying he was kicked off his Olympic team falsely. Or that you heard that? I assume he agreed with the lie? Since he admitted to using steroids in his autobiography?

Not sure if I can dig it up - someone in his own camp accused him, actually. And Povetkin's contract with Sauerland calls for Olympic Styled Testing so I don't think he was angling at anything. Although it is strange that Haye has come up after negotiations broke down over this.
