Makes me sick how these fighters act. It'd be admirable that Diaz and Marquez have nothing but good things to say about each other if they didn't share the same promoter. Damn. Even Marquez's trainer talks about Diaz like he's a legend.

I know this is probably an absurd thing to say - so chalk it up mostly to a perceived loss of boxing's credibilty - but if you watch JMM's KO of Diaz, it's kinda fucking fishy. And it did really benefit GBP because it provided an opponent for PBF - one he could easily beat and one who'd given Pacquiao two tough fights.

Say what you will as to my suspicions. But at the heart of the matter is that there's any uncertainty whatsoever as to the reality of what we're watching. And for that I hold GBP entirely responsible. I don't trust anything they do - I think Hopkins/ODH was fishy, I think ODH/PBF was fishy, and I think JMM/J. Diaz was fishy. In fact, I'll go as far as saying I found PBF/JMM fishy - how in the hell does PBF not stop JMM?

GBP, depending on it's future, will either save boxing or kill it. If it saves it, it'll mean it fails, is exposed, or is marginalized somehow by real boxing.

I can´t believe Oscar did the Octopus prediction for Diaz and Marquez. And the cheap bastard wouldn´t even enlisten the services of the master, he hired some cheap Vegas imposter. :nono::nono:

Agreed. This is a decent HBO type card. Once upon a time a card like this would be free on a tuesday night.

Not near the 300,000-500,000 Schaeffer said he hoped for in the conference call...Dan Rafael is reporting that Schaeffer's saying it did between 150,000-200,000 "buys" with a $900,000 gate.

The fight will be replayed on HBO Latino.
