That being said....no, Guzman doesn't hit that hard per se at 130, but speed and angles can buzz Soto.

Guzman slaps like a girl now and has stamina that rivals Zab Judah for most shite in an elite fighter. How Soto adjusts to Guzman's speed will be the key. If he can time Joan and work his short combinations, he should beat the wasted talent.

:: ... though sadly, it's not very far from the truth. One thing about Guzman that's always been overrated is his punching power. He was never a one-hitter quitter even during his prime, and his power is even less effective two divisions higher (even if it's a weight where he belonged, all along).

It's simple...I would be worried too if I was on Team Pacquiao and wouldn't want to fight someone like Guzman without a much better risk/reward ratio than the one likely currently presented.

I've been saying it for a while. Team Pacquiao and ARum don't care to fight the best they just want the biggest payday.

Neither Guzman nor JMM will get the fight because they are not face first brawlers. They can actually box and will frustrate Pacquiao.
