I know you're sticking up for the Irish an all, but Henry had everything. Pure badass.

Maybe so, and I agree somewhat, but Spain basically played with 10 men in WC2010 and he's fucking rubbish in the Prem now. Henry and Shearer had bad spells but not on that level. Torres is finished in his mid-20's.

I didn't realize Ireland got not just one but TWO chances to win the game after Henry got sent off for handling.

What Henry did was far far worse. It left Ireland with no recourse.

Slice, you know if Henry had done that against England you'd hate him for doing it. Shit does happen, but what he did was beyond acceptable.

I couldn't give a monkeys fuck if he done it against England. And Irish, both used their hands to rob another team of victory, in Ghanas case, CERTAIN victory. Shearer, Ferdinand, Henry, Fowler, Cole. It's these 5, then the rest.

True, but Bruce is still a cunt. Every time someone interviews him it's this 'I sat on the Gallowgate with me da and I bleed black and white'...Fucking liar. At least bobby Charlton, another fucking disgusting Geordie outcast, had the brass to pretty much openly declare his switched loyalty. Bruce is just a snidey, pasty-scoffing, fake, scenty accented cunt.

The play off cheating only compounded it tbh. The smug 'va-va-voom' adverts, his fancy dan style of play, his massive cartoon vagina lips.

Henry was badass. Didn't like him, scored countless goals against us and he cheated disgustingly against Ireland but couldn't deny his talent. Seriously good player.

    Nee Shearer mind.

Whoah Whoah Whoah - Ruud Van Nistelrooy would have something to say about that.

He wasn't fit to shine young, prime Fowler's boots IMO.

Different sort of striker- Fowler was predatory, left footed, and decreased with usefulness every yard he moved back from the penalty spot. Torres could be on the half-way line and fuck you up. Different strokes I guess.

Against Ireland, Henry handled the ball and Ireland were fooked.

Against Uruguay, Suarez handled, was sent off, and then all Gyan had to do was score a penalty.

    He missed.

And then all his team-mates had to do was score penalties.

    They missed.

Ireland had to score again, from play, in 2-3 minutes or so.

Gyan had to score from point blank range with only the keeper to beat, and he got to do it again in any case.

Suarez didn't rob Ghana of certain victory quite as much as Henry condemned Ireland to almost certain defeat. And Suarez was obvious, Henry was conceited and then wheeled away to celebrate with his chums.

I had a feeling someone would bring horseface up , can't put him there though, his goal ratio was outstanding but I don't feel he belongs in that company

Fancy dan it may have been but 99% of the time there was an end product. Also provided for others. I loved the finesse of Henrys play, even the finish tonight was fucking beautiful

I agree Shearer has to be top, and I love the guy. I think from a purely aesthetic point of view though, I prefer watching prime Henry doing his thang.

Shearer was a rare blend of size, power and actual footballing ability.

Henry looked a bit like that black drummer guy from Asterix

Lovely finish from Henry. That first touch was sublime. He's still got it. His movement was terrific. He'll get a few more goals before he returns to the U.S.

I didn't even see any wrong doing on Suarez' part with that handball, tbh. It was an honest trade - a sending off for the slim chance the penalty might be missed. No subterfuge, no appeals

I dunno mate, Fowler used to bang in 35 yarders every other month. Torres not so much. Torres was good, Fowler was unbelievable.

I would have done the same. If I'd been the manager, I'd have expected my player to do the same.
