That boys pace is ridiculous, he has developed into a bit of a savage finisher now too. Theo is a great asset
By the way I've only been watching from the start of the second half so forgive me if he missed a shedload of sitters in the first ::
Sometimes Walcott's touch on the ball isnt the greatest. But my goodness, with that speed if he had the skill of a David Villa to go with it, he would be SCARY... I hope Wenger tries him more as a striker this season. Nice win for Arsenal. Now lets see who everyone draws.
Yes, brilliant, I just stopped in here on my way to the BBC website, now I don't have to. :: He's such a fuck-tard that guy. Twice already they have been beaten at home, and were held by Leeds at the Weekend. DIE ALLARDYCE!! MWHAHHAAH!!!
Agreed, I've always thought he is much more suited to being a striker than a winger. It's obviously a different level but when he was at Southampton he was tearing teams to shreds as a 15-16 year old playing up front.
Nasri gone to Man City now as well. I really hope Arsenal can come out of this and surprise us to make a run but I just don't see it. The fact that both Fabregas and Nasri basically FORCED their way out tells us all we need to know. That club just has no ambition anymore. And its not just Wenger. Its the whole board.
The club is simply run as a business, unlike the majority of other big clubs who are spiralling into debt or simply just cashed up by their sugar daddys. Barca, Real, Man U, Inter, Chelsea, City all have huge debt or a sugar daddy topping up the deifference. The financial fair play cant come quick enough for Arsenal. Its all rather depressing as a supporter right now though.
Oh!!! Boot on the other foot now son!!! :: Try a season at Liverpool with the Texas Cowboys as your owners and a decent, proven manager being fucked over and mocked by a gutter-press, who would eventually turn their attention to Wenger in the same way. You had a right good laugh at Benitez, IIRC, but I warned you...when they were through with Benitez it would be somebody elses turn. 2009-2010 was one shit, shit, shit year to be a Liverpool fan, and 2010-2011 was only rescued by a change of owners and a change of manager. Even at that, the club was losing its best player in years. Carrol only came in after Torres left, it should be noted- his arrival was predicated on the others departure. If the Yankers had still been in charge that £50m would have been piddled down the grid. The only fucking reason those twots in the press celebrated Arsenal going through last-night was because it would be a disaster for their self-styled BEST-LEAGUE-IN-THE-WORLD to have only three teams in the CL. Its not like they gave a damn about Wenger per-se, you mark my words, they will seek other opportunities, starting this Sunday, to lampoon the guy. As I said before, I wanted Arsenal to go through, and I don't like the parodying of Wenger, but its not like I didn't warn you :nono: As for FFFP or FP or FPFP or whatever...not sure about the merits of it. Seems to me that the stadium-naming can be used to get around it. Emirates. Etihad. Fucked if I know the difference, apart from the fact that Citeh, supposedly run by Sugar Daddies, got paid more for that than did Arsenal, who are run, as you suggest, on a business footing. :dunno:
Wenger deserves a large chunk of critisim the same way Benitez did. Some of Wengers signings and comments have been bewildering. He has it all to prove this season. He gets no pass from me, so not sure I see your point. Come on Irish youre not that daft. You can see the difference between the stadium deals runs far deeper than the amount paid. The chairman of Etihad just happens to be the half brother of the Sugar Daddy that owns City, but that means little it seems. Regardless of their stadium deal or whether the Sheikhs friends decide to buy a few hundred million dollars worth of merchandise and dump it in the ocean each season. Its seems the cronies that run the game seem hell bent on enforcing the "FFFP or FP or FPFP or whatever" and as an Arsenal fan theres not much more to look forward to.
Wenger needs to be kept on. For openers, I believe that clubs like Spurs and Chelski are on the brink. Arsenal have no stadium issues and no debt. That means anything is capable.
That's it. Football has finally gone fucking MAD http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/n...-cardiff-city-star-joe-ledley-91466-29286226/ Cardiff City might be forging links with Malaysia, but it seems the club's former star Joe Ledley is already a big hit in neighbouring Thailand. A video has been posted on YouTube of a classroom full of Thai children in Celtic shirts, and backed by a giant picture of the Wales midfielder, singing a song in his honour. The song, complete with actions and sung to the tune of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire, includes the lyrics: "Joe Ledley is Celtic's midfield dragon, he runs up and down and his strength is never flagging", and "Joe is a midfield king, and he makes us want to sing". Ledley told Twitter followers: "I would like to thank the Thai tims for the song they have done for me. U rock!!" Ledley, who was born in Fairwater, Cardiff, moved from his hometown club to Glasgow in 2010.
Fulham & Hammersmith chronicle Updated 2:05pm 25 August 2011: Taarabt faces QPR axe By Paul Warburton Aug 25 2011 ADEL Taarabt has been told to get himself fit or lose his place in QPR’s team. The mercurial Moroccan (pic) was the Championship player of the year last season, and a permanent fixture in Hoops’ starting XI. But boss Neil Warnock has warned that unless he sharpens his act, the midfielder could be watching Premiership action from the sidelines – especially as the likes of Joey Barton and four or five new players are on the cusp of joining the club. The manager said: “If I bring four or five players in and Adel’s not fit – he won’t be in the team. He is not naturally going to be the main man – he’s going to be a good player in the squad. And he knows this to be fair to him.†Warnock has had more than his fair share of spats with the talented player in just one campaign – but was delighted with Taarabt’s attitude when picked to play lowly Rochdale in the Carling Cup on Tuesday – even if it did end with a 2-0 defeat. “Adel play against Rochdale three months ago? I don’t think he would,†said Warnock. “But he’s got to get fit with games. And all that summer speculation with Paris Saint German over a move, as well*as*meetings with agents and our chairman took its toll, which is why he’s not as fit as he should be.â€

Love Arsenal's chances in that group. Tho there are a couple tricky ones in there. Was really hoping for Man Titty to go in there with Milan and Barca.
I don't think any team in history has retained the Champions League title so if Barcelona were to win it again, that would be something special. But its gonna be tough. Man United, Man City, and Real Madrid are hot on their trail. Man City concern me the most of those 3. They have alot of young talent and solid defensive tactics when they apply them. They're a threat. United are always dangerous and they have the ability to do it, and most importantly they have Ferguson. Nuff said. Real Madrid have the most talent of the three, but they couldn't even beat a half prepared Barca in the Spanish Super Cup last week so I don't know if they're really capable of beating a full strength Barca.
Not complaining at all... but I am very unclear as to why Man Titty were in Pot 3 while Arsenal got a #1 seed along with manUre, Chelsea, Barca, Real, etc etc. I mean.... I'll take it, but doesn't seem warranted
They should get rid of the rule which says you can't face a "home-side" until the quarters. It should be a big open draw.
