DJ Campbell has had more PL chances than I can remember, and he isn't good enough. Nor is Bothroyd. Newcastle did okay last season because Nolan and Carroll scored goals. Ditto Odemwengie for WBA. That is always the difference between promoted teams staying up or going down. You have plenty of canny midfielders, but they need some quality in front of them,

Campbell was good last season for Blackpool. I think he can do a job for us. Bothroyd is better than he showed tonight, but we do need to be way more clinical.

SWP and Taarabt linked up great, joy to watch.

How we didn't take 3pts, I do not know.

Fantastic performance tonight. Just couldn't score.

One of those games. SWP was quality, Barton had a better second half, taarabt was excellent. Very pleased with this team, they gelled straight away. Just need to put away chances. Derry again too was excellent. Newcastle didn't deserve the draw. Colocinni was a threat throughout.

    :say:

Newcastle worked hard, were resillient and defended stoutly. :nono: They threatened on the break with those big aerial threats upfront and especially from set pieces. :nono: We were well organised and physical in midfield :nono:

Your midfield was quite threatening and you did defend well at times.

We had the better chances and don't know how it ended 0-0.

 Switch your sarcasm radar back on mate...I was merely providing a foretaste of Thumb-Bum's inevitable excuses-de-camera

'Threatening'? Our midfield was fucking garbage. Tiote has lost interest and the rest are trash. They couldn't threaten a heavy-bag :nono: We defended like :shit:- you had about SEVEN clear cut chances which any proper forward would have buried. It was a 0-0 massacre in the first half. We were awful. We have become a really, really shit version of Stoke.

Newcastle didn't deserve the draw. They defended well but at the end of the day it was Bothroyds ineptitude in front of goal which allowed them to escape with a point

Well, I watched from the comfort of my living room on my nice, big telly set and I saw one midfield full of flair, skill and creativity against a collection of athletes:goingmad::goingmad::goingmad: who ran around a lot, trying to kick people and creating absolutely NOTHING.

Then I turn to the sports propaganda channel and find some buttpipe praising the life out of Ashley's little fuck toy, waffling on about 'heady heights' over a graphic of the league table showing us in a CL spot...:jaw::laughing::die:

Pardew is turing us into everything I ever hated. Stoke

I have to say, as much as he was a prick as a player, Neville is one of the best analysts going. He was spot on about Taarabt being there at the start of moves but not getting into the box enough to follow up.

I have to agree, it's a huge shame what's happened to your lot. Compared to Newcastle teams of the past...well you can't compare them. Hope you guys can get rid of that circus.

Like I said earlier, the Newcastle team who played in the fizzy pop league was a full class above this shower of absolute shit. And this is not some knee jerk reaction to tonight's, gritty, resolute, compact peformance. I predicted us to struggle like fuck long before a ball was kicked...

It's Ashley man. :die:I honestly could kill the bastard :die:. He makes my piss boil to the point of vapourization. It's not even anguish, it's sheer, undiluted RAGE. Just thinking about him makes me feel homicidal.

This Sky Sports cunt has actually just said...

"Unbeaten so far this season, look at Newcastle sitting pretty in a Champions League spot! What a job Alan Pardew is doing and what can you say about all those Newcastle fans worrying about their transfer policy before the season started..."

I already did that: I won't give a penny to that bastard and spend most of my Saturday afternoon's watching Gateshead's charge into the football league...

...sadly, football is so ingrained here that genuine, dyed-in-the-wool fans can't politicise themselves into collective action. They genuinely believe that they have an obligation to attend, that NUFC is their birthright and no fat bastard is going to stop them doing what they, and their fathers, and their grandfathers did.

That said, attendences are 10K down on capacity this term. There is a drip-drip of desertion creeping into even the hardest of hardcore fans.

As for smashing the place up, the FCB is doing it for us:
