It's genuinely cool when the US does well, because we're not really supposed to... Tough call... I think I'd feel glad for either team winning... America's weird, man... especially the east coast, because most of us are closely tied to our ethnicity, the Irish, the Italians, the Poles, the Portuguese, etc... I definitely root for the US to do well and I enjoyed them last time out, they had a good run... I'd be torn there... but Ireland/England is different... You've got 800 years of history there between those two... If America was to Ireland what England was to Ireland, well forget it, I'd be wrapped in a fucking green-white-orange flag, to be honest

In fairness, England needs to give it up. Prince Andrew is bent. Mark Palios is bent. Sarah Ferguson was on the take. Sven took the mickey. Ferguson is a law unto himself. John Terry likewise. If England was hosting the next World-Cup you can best believe that the press would be singing from a different hymn sheet.

This racism thing is such a load of shit. It is such a crock of shit. Men on MILLIONS per annum are being compared to the average guy in a minimum wage work-place. John Terry is a tramp but when he was stabbing Capello in the back, he was let off the lead and encouraged. Now the boot is on the other foot and the guy has become an embarrassment. Whose fault is that? The press who backed him when he tried to pick the team in South Africa. He was NEVER reigned in and now he's landed them in it.

I agree with Blatter. Blatter never said that if there was racist chanting that people should shake hands. He never said that. What he said was that if one man says something in the heat of the game to another that they should try to shake on it and let it at that. Sky shit all over the English people, they really do, they treat people like they had no IQ. People want to be lead. Evil FIFA. Ironically, Prince Andrew was being investigated by the Serious Fraud Office who were then told to back off him, that there was too much money at stake.

It's not just down to Blatter. Speaking honestly....too many people don't like England. A lot of the time it's real petty shit, real IRA or Colonial African nonsense, a historical sense of injustice rather than any immediate serious grounds for dislike. But there's more to it than that. The English come across as perennial "holier-than-thou" sorts when they aren't.
