Not to mention, if Dan's resume and record would be significantly worse if he officially lost to a lot of the guys that beat him.

What does that mean? Henderson has won more titles, Has more wins and is still at the top of his game despite being the same age as chuck.

I guess that depends on what you value more. Titles won, or defenses of ones title. I tend to side with the more dominant title reign.

That and a second rate Strikefarce title, a PRIDE MW title that he won by KOing the same shot Wandy that Liddell beat a fight later, never defended and lost in his unification bout to Rampage, oh and PRIDE WW title that he should've been arrested for grand larceny as soon as he left the building.

In your opinion. I'm not about to start this debate. Pride vs UFC is a never ending debate.

On top of that, Randy has also applied his wrestling better in MMA than Henderson has. The bigger punch gives Henderson a huge chance at winning this one but I can also see the bigger, stronger Couture making this a 5 round battle fought against the cage and highlight by dirty boxing which Couture wins.

It's amazing how people diminish Liddell now that he's fallen so badly. It's also crazy incorrect to call him one dimensional. Sure he relied on power punching and stand up but fantastic take down defense and a solid wrestling base also propelled Liddell to the top.

The other thing people always overlook is the fact that Liddell was just a very good athlete. The guy had great reflexes and very solid wheels. His movement is significantly underrated.

Prime versus prime, I like Liddell to decision Henderson by a clear margin.

Its not really a debate. Pride was more dominant.

Wanderlei went 0-2 in the UFC, included a lopsided loss to Tito before becoming PRIDE's most dominant LHW.

    Just saying...

I think they are mostly pick'em fights. Hendo/Liddell would have been a great scrap. Personally, I see Hendo having many more ways to win. Liddell would have gone for the KO, but lets not forget that Hendo has a good chin. The wrestling would have most likely cancelled out. Dan would have probably worked the clinch alot, because I just don't see him holding Chuck down at all. The fights that stick out to me as a common opponent is Rampage. Rampage brutalized Chuck. Rampage beat Hendo, but had to really grind out an ugly decision. Not saying it means everything, but its a decent barometer. Man I would have loved to have seen it though.:partie:

They had more common opponents than just Rampage, and some matchups went the other way as well.

Bustamante comes to mind. Only Chuck easily handled him, and Henderson highway robbed him.

Chuck didn't easily handled him, he took a close decision in a bore. 1st fight vs 1st fight, Hendo was far more dominating than Liddell.

Boring, but no way it was close.

Or at least, as they say, close but clear.

I would definitely not call Hendo's win over Bustamante a robbery. It was close, but in no way a robbery.

Are you joking? Hendo-Bustamante II was a historic robbery.
