I actually think it'd be over way before that. Hagler fought hyper aggressive against fighters taller than him, and he went to the body like a fanatic. He was always in position to hurt his guy, and Nunn made the mistake of leaving his chin in the air often against Toney, and was broke down by bodywork.

I think if Hagler is fighting like he did vs Hearns, he takes Nunn out in five or six. Maybe less. It's not like he'd give a fuck about what was coming back.

Nunn would be a stylistic nightmare for hagler, but he just lack something to win this

I was never all that enamored with Nunn after the Kalambay win. I think his next few defenses exposed his limitations - he had trouble generating power on a consistent basis, he didn't look particularly strong on the inside, and he lacked a stylistic identity. Perhaps most damning of all was his habit of lazily laying on the inside with opponents, which I'm convinced would be suicidal against someone like Hagler.

I think Hagler beats Nunn decisively by battering him when they're at close quarters and keeping Nunn too defensive when he's at long range to sit down on any meaningful punches.

I first saw Nunn in his 4th or 5th pro fight, and he was knocking guys out. When he fought Carl Jones, he got crunched, went down like he was dead but got up. And then he was gun shy until the Darnell Knox fight. Then he began his run, the Parker, Tate and Roldan fights.
In my mind, the Jones fight revealed a fragility in Nunn. Not in his chin- anybody can get hit and go down, and he got up- but in his self confidence.
Even in his best run that fragility was there, it reasserted itself later in fights (Starling) where it had no place.
Hagler would sense it and find it.
