Remember that Japanese guy who beat up Kirkland? He was the epitome of the tall, rangy fishing rod guy who had power beyond his physique.

If Prograis wins, and wins in style, I wanna see Crawford-Prograis.

It's better than watching Bud vs the no-hopers he's been in with lately.

That guy didn't have much power. Kirkland just had no chin, and didn't train at all for that fight on top of it.

Extreme, but agREED the Entirety of Crawford's Resume DOESN'T Match His Status in Boxing Circles, Necessarily...

& It's Laughable When Crawford Fans Suggest Spence is "Ducking" Him...No, What Spence is Doing is STRENGTHENING His Own Resume and GRASP on A-Side Status for the Inevitable Negotiations w/Top Rank, ESPN and Team Crawford...

Prograis would be the best opponent Bud has faced. I fail to think of one better.

I would expect Crawford to win though. He's a class above Regis. However, Rougarou would probably acquit himself well in a losing effort.

BUT... I'm getting ahead of myself.

Let's see if he can handle Taylor before we entertain his chances against Bud.

Crawford made the decision to limit his own career by re-signing with TR.

In Arum's mind, Crawford lives in Loma's shadow.

Crawford should also take on Ramirez while he waits for Spence and Prograis.

Spence is the Only Fighter '47 or Lower REED Would Favor Over Bud, and Not By Much Either...

Just Like Pacquiao, Crawford's Top Rank Contract Expired, But Manny's Faced Adrien Broner and Keith Thurman Since...w/Mikey on the Horizon...Meanwhile, Crawford Resigned w/Top Rank and Has Faced Jose Benavidez and Amir Khan Since...

    No One's "Ducking" Crawford...

If he REALLY Wanted to Maximize his Potential @ '47, He'd Have Signed w/PBC, Where Every Other Belt Holder and MEANINGFUL Welterweight Name Resides...

Going back to Crawford, I'd also be all for Crawford vs Taylor if Josh wins.

Anything better than Jose Benavidez, the corpse of Khan, and the fucking "Green Machine".

That'd Be a Tad More Complicated Since Taylor's Not Contractually Bound to Hearn Beyond the Tournament Finale, Yet Not Categorically Undoable by Any Stretch Either...

Prograis-Taylor Winner IMMEDIATELY Catapults to a Higher Stratosphere of Respect and Earning Potential...

Rumor has it that Prograis has been struggling to make the weight. That might have been confirmed as he was VERY slightly over on his first try, but then stripped off all his clothes and made it on the second try. He didn't LOOK drained though. He looks good.

I dunno, I've been hesitating in the past few days. I still feel Regis will win, but I'd be lying if I said I was confident about it.

Taylor might very well win this.

But I'm not one to change my prediction only a few days away. Still going with Prograis late.

Didn't Look or Sound Drained in the Immediate Post Weigh-In Interview...Many on the SkySports Chat Made a Big Deal Out of Prograis Sipping on Whatever it Was, In Between Answers...

As if it's Uncommon for a Fighter to be Thirsty and/or Hungry @ a Weigh-In:D...

Like Spence, Prograis Fought Ammy @ '52, So No Cut is "Easy", Per Se, but REED Doesn't Expect it to Be an Issue or a FACTOR...

It's Going to Be a Tough, Grueling Fight for BOTH Men, but REED's Prediction Ain't Changed...Prograis by Stoppage btwn 8-10...

The early rounds are gonna be crucial for Taylor, IMO.

In order for Taylor to win, he NEEDS to establish control from the outset. He's the one with the more one dimensional style of the two.

I can see Regis falling behind early, yet still adjusting and coming on to take control. I can't see the reverse happening.

In other words, if Prograis is controlling the fight from the jump, Taylor is already fucked.

Taylor sure is fired up, but I'm wondering if he's a bit TOO on edge. He was the same way going into the Baranchyk fight, and though he won clearly, he got nailed too much.

Regis seems the more calm/composed of the two.

In That PARTICULAR Way, REED Compared Taylor to Erik Morales...

He's Got the Frame, Skill Level, Physical Wherewithal to DICTATE the When/Where of Most Exchanges, yet he's Easily LURED Into Them...Which Results in a Defense LEAKIER Than it Needs to Be...

Taylor Wants AT Prograis for Sure Though...It's Not False Bravado Either, it's a ZEST For Combat...But Yeah, Prograis by Stoppage, 8-10:D...

The WBSS has been respectful thus far, maybe overly so.

I love that this is the first WBSS final where the two guys genuinely dislike eachother.

Taylor is always like this at weigh-ins, I think he's one of those guys who gets himself into a kill or be killed mindset. I don't think there is a genuine dislike either, just two highly competitive fighters looking for an edge.

If Taylor's in a kill or be killed mode, then all the better for Prograis.

Taylor needs to use his length and try to walk Prograis into shots.

He was the same against Ohara Davies at the weigh-in. Now, granted, Prograis is obviously A LOT better than Davies, but the point is Taylor was just as fired up but when he got in the ring he was calm and composed, didn't get dragged into a war. I wouldn't read too much into how he was today, is all. If it was out of character (for example Hatton doing the cut-throat gesture against Floyd at their weigh-in) then I'd say there might be something to it.

Prograis kind of reminds me of a smaller David Haye.
