Spence would be worse for Taylor than Crawford.

Taylor depends on his size and strength. Spence is bigger and stronger... on top of being a better technician/bigger puncher/better chin.

I cant see that one ending any other way than Josh getting beaten down.

I said that a year ago.

Loma is better... but Taylor is much too big.

As critical as I've been about Ramirez's comp, I'm not sure about that one.

I kinda feel like Ramirez might bust Josh up.

    Ramirez has one helluva chin.

    You think so?

Taylor hasn't "fucked up" anybody since that complete fraud Ryan Martin.

Baranchyk gave him a tough one, and Ramirez is a shit ton better than Baranchyk.

    Nothing seems to phase Ramirez.

    It's a tough call.

140 is gonna get very interesting soon cause Haney and Lopez are too big for 135.

If Taylor/Ramirez are still around that's alot of good matchups.

I think Regis will move to welter.

I would too, but I honestly think Bob is getting ready to sacrifice Ramirez to Bud.

    He's running outta options.

Or, maybe not. I think TR values Ramirez and wont put him in to get beat up by Crawford.

    Maybe Taylor-Ranirez can happen.

They'll Match Ramirez w/Crawford, but Only AFTER He's Fully Unified '40 or Attempted To, @ Least...

Taylor-Ramirez NEEDS to Happen by Summer 2020, if Not Earlier...

Very good fight, good ebb and flow. Too many close rounds. 117-112 a joke.

Could have lived with a 2 point swing for either man.

Aaron Snowell working his cutman-magic for Taylor I see.

I can't think of somebody I hate more in boxing these days than Shane McGuigan. Maybe Eddie Hearn in heels and a corset. But definitely Shane McGuigan is a gigantic crusty orifice.

Fight went the exact opposite way I felt it would.

I thought Prograis would struggle early and then just target the body more and more and get the stoppage.

Instead he started well, then it evened out, then he had a torrid 3 rounds and seemed to be falling apart, then he came into it again in the 11th and 12th.

He was in control, drawing, getting battered and doing the battering.

Only thing is his nose and eye were marked up early and he did seem to be getting pushed around. His nose always seemed to be bleeding.

Taylors eye literally became an issue in the last 2 rounds only, really.

Josh proved me wrong and I give him credit.

I didnt think he could win a war with Prograis

Prograis looked like he had it and the steam went out of him. I think as the shorter man his neck and head were getting bent over when he got bulled up close. That happens to the shorter man a lot. Also WTF was he doing weighing 154? That's a lot for a small man.

Wee Man Prograis.............liked his double jab a lot and his uppercut. Liked Taylors hooks on the inside. I wonder how Zab Judah would have done in there. Prograis would have given Hatton problems.

It's pretty common for 140 pounders to come in at 154 nowadays.

There was a point when it looked like Regis was gonna take over, but Josh came on.

No excuses though. I thought Josh won 7-5.

That 117-112 was indeed a joke.

The thing about Zab is he wasn't as mentally tough as Taylor/Prograis, but in his prime he was way more physically talented than both. Judah had both faster hands than Prograis, and more power.

Judah could without question hurt Josh. If Josh was still standing by the 6th or 7th, then Zab would blow it.

Both Taylor and Prograis would be tough fights for Hatton.

Ramirez would probably be a tough fight for Hatton too.

But I'd probably make Ricky at his 03-05 peak a favorite over all three.

And Irish, if you wanna keep throwing names in there, even though I wasn't very fond on him.... prime Tszyu would have executed both Taylor and Prograis.

    Just Watched it w/No Interruptions...

BEST Case Scenario for Prograis was a Draw in REED's Opinion...Taylor Won...

It was Somewhat Reminiscent of Spence-Porter, Where the BULK of Spence's Work was to the Body, w/Porter Landing More of the Eye Catching Headshots...In THAT Sense, Prograis was Spence and Taylor was Porter...

Other than Abject INCOMPETENCE, that's the ONLY Justification for the 117-112 Card...Little to No Recognition or Acknowledgement of Body Shots...

In a CLOSER Than Close Fight, You Can't Lose Consecutive Rounds...w/That Said, Prograis Lost 3, Possibly 4 CRUCIAL Rounds from 4-7...7 was a Decisive Round, Then Taylor Had Another Decisive Round in the 10th...

In Terms of Dishing Out Punishment, 7 and 10 were BIG Rounds, Both Taylor's...
