Kissanes were apparently very tall people going back 100s of years... they used to be debt collectors... they were known to be very tall and imposing and with reddish hair and complexions... thats why I'm 6'2 and reddish Moll's Gap, around the Kenmare and Killarney area was named after a Kissane-- Moll Kissane... a long ago relative of mine
You are very interested in Geneaology, I take it, Kauki You mention it often... is it part of your work?
Well I just keep thinking the character "Irish" from Red Dead Redemption is just about spot on,...The strawberry coloured fur of the neanderthal was mainly a scottish isolate characteristic?
Certainly in Glasgow, people of Irish decent most often have very dark hair & the gingers are more likely to be prods. I'm guessing there's allot of regional variation in gingerness among the Irish.
(and judging by who came to Glasgow and the lack of ginger Irishmen here, I would take a guess at areas like Kerry having the highest prevalence of red heads?)
don't know... Red-headedness seems to vary form place to place My hair is brown, but my skin has a reddish hue and my beard is reddish (though that is a gentic anomaly inherited from my father's side of the family, may not have anything to do with tribal identities) My grandmother on my mother's side... she and her sister both had dark hair, but their little brother had hair that was as red as a fire engine
I looked up a few things and it seems 13% of Scotland's population is red-headed, while 10% of Ireland's is... these are the highest percentages Apparently, 40 percent of the Scot population carries the recessive gene for it In Ireland, it is actually higher - 46 percent carrying the gene I think it's basically just a thing among Gaels... Wales has many redheads as well There seems to be no consensus on anything beyond that
I also would put Mayorga in this topic. Pretty much unflappable, and did a lot of intimidating himself. Of course, it's probably likely that Mayorga is just crazy.
So I wonder why broadcasters like Kellerman keep demanding that Alvarez looks 'Irish' ?...:scratcher: ,.. Basque or Galician is the best bet,.. I don't size the Alvarez resemblence in many Irish people... It's plain to see though why the Irish were able to be conquered and opressed so easily,..athetic: as a race they are the smallest tribe in the northern band of Europe,. Tiny compared to the Vikings, or the Dutch/ Northern French Germanics, east german/polish Slavs, and Baltics,... fuck,... the diminutive little Irishmen never had a chance, that's why alot of Irish have big ears like rodents, to hear the predators coming. I like the indigenous Irish though, one of my favourite tribes.
