Kind of behind on MMA. I just saw UFC 65. It had some pretty good fights on there. If you want to talk about a size difference though GSP is 1 big fucker at 170, I thought he looked much bigger than Hughes.

 

And you saw what happened when he finally fought somebody his own size, or bigger...who wasn't a rookie.

Hughes has beaten guys bigger than himself,,,,,who weren't rookies :nixweiss: St Pierre was to big and well rounded though. Oh well at least Pierre is a likeable guy.

 

If Hughes one of MMA best fighter ever, than MMA is in a really sad state.

 

yeah, because Hughes is terrible and has accomplished nothing in MMA

He isnt the best fighter ever, talent or skill wise, but to say he ISNT one of the most accomplished, is laughable my friend

read the whole thread smart guy, and you'll see that I clear up that by best fighter, I mean most accomplished....

 

I've read the whole thread I fucking posted in the WHOLE thread. Yeah you back peddled on you're comment when everybody said you were crazy for thinking Hughes is the best fighter of all time(which is what you first said). The fact remains Hughes isn't the best fighter nor is he the most accomplished; he is ONE of the most accomplished!!!! Randy is more accomplished than Matt plus he's a better fighter and he's 153 years old.ghfjdgs Also, did I mention Randy is a better wrestler than Matt?

 

randy being more accomplished is arguable.....Matt has about 30 more fights, and quite a few more title defenses:nixweiss:

and to me, "best" = who has done the most, not "best" = potential or talent

no one other than Wanderlie and maybe Fedor has dominated a division the way Matt Hughes has

 

Randy is more accomplished than Hughes. Hughes having more fights means absolutely nothing for one he is younger than Randy and has been fighting longer than Randy so he should have more fights. Randy is a two time HW champion and the former light HW champion(only person to ever do it). He went from HW(where he was the smaller man nine out of ten times) to light HW and murdered the two best in that weight class all at the tender young age of 40. Randy is just an all around better person than Hughes who is a jerk in person.

Also using Hughes title defenses as a reason to claim he is more accomplished than Randy is like trying to claim Hopkins is more accomplished than DLH which is laughable at best.
