I've seen Fedor Emelianenko use proper boxing fundamentals. Even though he does tend to neglect defense sometimes by rushing in with a barrage of bombs which can get him countered (against Fujita, CroCop, etc, but Fedor recovered quickly enough thanks to a dependable chin), I've seen him slip a jab and counter, I've also seen him throw effective combinations with fluidity, like a pro. Then again, boxing is one of his main disciplines along with sambo and submission. Wanderlei Silva on the other hand fights, as THK said, 100 miles a minute, then takes a break, then another 100 miles a minute, then a break, etc. Silva neglects his defense completely, he doesn't even look at his opponent when he throws those wild bombs. He's either closing his eyes and wailing, or got his head down, not even looking at the target. He's more like a ToughMan boxer. That's how they tend to fight. Reminder to self, never take boxing lessons from Wanderlie Silva.:jester:
Yeah Fedor's good, but his punches tend to loop. Silva recovers good from a shot as well, sans Cro Cop left high kick recently.
Okay, well since he's so busy ever thought about getting somebody to help him out? Not knocking Zach at all, but if things are piling on him, then shouldn't he have some help?
