That may be where he's headed, but he certainly took a difficult route to get there.

It would be unfortunate, because I think he has a very entertaining style. As he showed in this fight, he keeps a high guard - similar to Winky Wright - and stays in close throws nice counters. He rarely took a backwards step in this fight.

This was one of the best fights of the year.

JMM-Pac, Rees-Kotelnik and that the Luevano bet wouldn't go 12 (that was a tiny bet though). The Rees and JMM bets were not good losses. My last win on boxing was Mares-Gabi under. I have done decent on NCAA tourney though.

Yeah it will probably lose to  I had to bet Casamayor at the odds. Katsidis is to easy to hit and has fought all bums. Casa is past it but this fight is close to a pick'em fight so I had to bet him.

I reckon Andrade Stieglitz will go under 9.5. Stieglitz doesn´t possess the punch or boxing skills to keep Andrade off him. His defense and chin aren´t good enough to go toe to toe with Andrade. Stieglitz will hit Andrade, like all fighters do, but he´ll be stopped eventually. I bet a bit on the Casamayor/Katsidis fight to end in a SD/MD (+650) or a draw, like all Casamayor fights.

I was fortunate Kotelnik stopped Rees, since I had bet draw, SD/MD, Rees and as the final live bet, that it wouldn´t go the distance. Would have lost all four on a Kotelnik unanimous decision.

Make an "I told you so"-thread for me, MWS. Or wait till after the main event, and make one for three.

Wow, I can't believe Katsidis is the favourite.

Katsidis is exciting, but relatively unproven at the highest level.

And casamayor is a solid, tough, dirty little bastard. Even if he's past it, he's not going to be a walk in the park for anyone.

Mex, you son of a bitch- get your ass in here!!!

Rees early my ass- and don't give me any of that 'I was kidding' BS...:tease:

Great effort by both guys- it was a really game, action fight. Rees is exactly as I said he was. Game as hell, but limited. Kotelnik pinged him for fun from the third round onward.

I'm glad to see that Andreas was heading for a points win in any event. I really thought he had to stop Rees in the 12th to stop himself from being robbed.

Setanta commentary is a disgrace, btw. And you said Ritchie Woodhall was decent? He had it Kotelnik by a single round...:shit:

Stuff like that shames the british boxing scene, it really does. Such blatant and pathetic nuthuggery.

I honestly was kidding though. If I had seriously been picking rees, it wouldn't have been "rees, early" It would have been by decision.

I don't really care for either fighter, but I thought Rees would lose a decision, or possibly get a gift.

I thought the fight would be a bit closer than that though, I didn't expect rees to get battered.

Enzo: My opinion of Kotelnik hasn´t changed, if the fight went the full 12 rounds Gavin would have destroyed him. :bears: :bears: :bears:

I´m bored, argh not the replay. :kick:

This win for Andreas enhanced Witter a fair bit, IMO Attraction. He looked like a very skilled, hard hitting counter puncher of good order tonight.

IMO, he outclassed Gavin, who was a very game fighter. Limited, sure, but very game indeed. But Andreas blocked everything he threw and hit him with interest...
