    Half of me is curious as to how this fight with Ben Askern even came about. The other half already doesn't give fuck.

    Probably over stupid shit on twitter.

    On CBS' boxing site, they said Regis won by UD (60-54 x 3.) WTF.

    Steve Cunningham failed to stop a washed up Frank Mir, maybe that could be Paul's next fight

    The second Oscar said USSR I'm amazed that CNN and MSNBC didn't begin live coverage of the event.

    Fucking Oscar.

    People have gone mad, finally.

    I bet if you said to Oscar "Find the USSR on a map......." he would never realize that in 2021, that's a trick question.

    But he'd look anyways..... :Jest:

    Askren is a disgrace.

    I didn't know they were doing a re-run of "Jake and the Fat Man" but they were. And the fat man lost.

    A fat disgrace- but boxing is a bigger disgrace, allowing people to make big money on this when it doesn't even get proper purses for its real fighters who keep the game alive for these bums to abuse.

    I hope Cunningham has something left and beats Jakes.

    You can only win a decision when the fight goes the scheduled distance.

    Anything else is a technical decision and they cannot be concluded in under 4 rounds.

    If it's not a Decision, or a TD, then it's one of

    * A KO/Stoppage
    * A DQ
    * A No-Contest.
    *A DRAW

    There's no such thing as a 3 round decision in a fight that wasn't scheduled for exactly 3 rounds and that doesn't complete 3 rounds.

    Redkach is clearly in the Kermit the Leaping Frog category now - he is showing up to take fights and just collect money no matter what. He's not interested in making an honest effort. Hardly surprising from somebody who looks like the White Rodman.

    He shouldn't get rewarded.

    About the only thing useful that came out of it was that Prograis got a few rounds work.

    Apart from that, utter sham.

    I can't understand the result.....it should have either been a DQ or a KO.

    That would be KO, by the way.

    I don't follow you here. What was wrong? It was a unanimous technical decision after six completed rounds (should have been a KO though)

    Technically, they should've included the seventh up until that round as well - since that's the rules. And there's no such thing as a technical, unanimous decision. It's just a TD.

    That's fine, I though it was being called a "Unanimous Decision" {i.e. no "Technical} and that they'd scored 3 rounds only or something.

    The rules vary between sanctioning bodies whether uncompleted round is scored or not. I don't know what was the case here though as I don't follow the titles anymore.

    E: I decided to check it. WBA and WBC mention that you score also the partial rounds, IBF says that only the completed rounds are scored. WBO says nothing. Local commissions have their own rules

    I have never given thought about a 'unanimous technical decision' not existing. Interesting if that is the case

    E: seems to me that the sanctioning bodies don't use the terms of 'unanimous decision, majority decision, split decision' at all. Media uses them, and thus I don't see why a TD couldn't be 'unanimous' as well.

    If I have gotten some of this wrong, fill me in
