You can knock him for the WAY he's got the big fights. However you can't knock him for actually TAKING the big fights. Yea yea Petersen is shit, but let's not act like this was his first choice, he wanted Bradley, Bradley didn't want him. He's already tried to make a fight with Marquez but decided to fight the guy everyone said he wouldn't fight instead. Funny thing is JMM was written off as an easy walkover for Amir, now what? You say he is being protected, from WHO???? Who has he ducked??

 

I don't deny he was fast tracked by the way, but that still doesn't take away from the fact he's fought the best his division has to offer (those who were willing to fight him anyway)

 

He is being protected. He will NEVER fight Floyd or Manny till they are shot enough for him to fight them. He was well looked after with his ITV and his SKY appearances and his massive paydays to fight midgets and jaded tinkers like Mike Gomez...and even then he looked bad.

He hasn't ducked anyone. Floyd or Manny or JMM aren't looking to fight him right now.

You can still be protected and not duck anyone.

That said...he is moving inexorably into DUCK territory the longer this Kell Brook thing goes on.

He knows that the one thing he always avoided- namely a massive dust-up at home with somebody the same sized as him...is getting closer.

 

LOL! Kell Brook??? Come on now. Brook needs to fight someone first. He's like 30-0 and he has fought NOBODY. Consequently, NOBODY is clamouring for that fight outside of the Brook household. I never said he ducked anyone. I said it was going that way. Khan, who never even fought for a British title, thinks that the UK scene is beneath him, He's another David Haye in my opinion.

So you're speculating that he will duck Brook in the future then? I believe Khan has already said he'd fight Brook as long as he brought something to the table.

I never said he was so this changes nothing in my opinion. Losing to Mayweather at 147 doesn't make you a bum. Aside from the Mayweather fight, JMM has been on a good run.
