I don't think so. I honestly think she is just trying to be a bad ass and completely make Tate her bitch.

But I couldn't agree more completely with Reed. It is utter horseshit that Rousey squared up with Hallman and got in his face.

Rousey is trying toooo hard to look tough. As Reed said, she doesn't need to try. She already destroyed Tate. She could walk around without saying or doing anything and still be the most feared chick on the show.

In all honesty, Rousey comes off as a poorly adjusted adult with anger issues and a significant chip on her shoulder. It's probably what makes her as good as she is in the cage.

I can't wait to see her mother guest coaching on the show this week.

Well, you didn't say you think she'll win, just that you are rooting for her to win.

But, there is no way in hell she will win. This isn't an incredible field, but a 1-3 fighter isn't going to beat two more of the girls in a row.

Baszler and Modaferri sucking dick and losing to these novices is an embarrassment and imo it is hurting women's mma legitimacy.

On the other hand, it probably isn't hurting its popularity which is more important.

A novice? Rakoczy has 35 professional boxing matches and has held a handful of world titles. She's got a longer combat history than any other chick on the show.

Novice.....LOL. Rakoczy might have the best boxing in women's MMA.

 

And Stephen Thompson has a 100 fights, same with Cung Le, same with every wrestler.

Rakoczy is a novice mma fighter and trying to paint her any other way is really straining. She's 1-3 for a reason.

I've got $100 to anyone's $50 that she doesn't win this. (haha...I hope the semi's haven't already happened and she's matched up with Duke in the finals and one of you knows it)

In some ways, but Rousey wasn't 1-3 and was rated. We all know that world class grapplers tend to become world class mma fighters WAY before world class boxers do (assuming some have, which hasn't even been the case).

The editing on the 'mom visits' episode made Rousey look more likable.

I wish Tate was as good a fighter as Rousey. It would make the tension they generate more meaningful.

I suppose, but the problem is none of her matchups are compelling at all. Brock had appeal far beyond being an ornery guy.

A hero with villains that aren't credible is still sellable.

A villain with heroes that aren't credible isn't so much.

As long as Ronda keeps ripping thru opponents and arm barring them, her appeal will be strong.

If she goes out and breaks Tate's arm again after the TUF build-up, she'll be insanely popular.

I think Rousey might have reclaimed some fans with last night's episode. The Father's Day gift for the sobbing member of Tate's team was a cool move. Knowing Ronda's backstory with her father, you could tell it wasn't a contrived gesture.

Additionally, Rousey handled the "picture prank" perfectly. She didn't retaliate because she promised Dana she wouldn't. But she didn't waiver in her utter disrespect for Tate.
