DM and Wlad weren't bad. Unfortunately DM focused too much on being a grimey fucking polack but was not a bad looking chap at all, especially compared to Golota and Adamek  good fuck are they ugly. Kevin Lueshing and Gary Stretch {such a bad name for a fighter} were also handsome lads.

Wlad's not a bad looking guy. I don't see it with DM, but hey, I refuse to get into a man look debate lol. Haye is a good lookin fella. Kessler's a good lookin fella as well, despite the fact that he's losing his hair line with age.

Yeah, Ali's a Class ABOVE Ray Leonard in the Looks Department...Even WOMEN Used the Word "Beautiful", when Describing Ali...You Could've LITERALLY Banged Some of THE Hottest Women in the World, just by Being in Ali's Circle...PROXY PUSSY...

Roy's PHYSIQUE Helped him Out a Lot...No, he's NOT a Bad Looking Dude, but he's Not STRIKINGLY Handsome the Way Ali was...Ali was Soooo Good Looking, it's NOT Even Considered GAY to Talk about It...

Yeah, forget boxers, I'd nominate Ali as the best looking athlete of all time period.

LOL @ my euphemistic use of 'handsome' triggering an actual FB debate on looks.

In non-euphemistic terms Duran's definitely the best looking ever

Ricky will find out within 3 weeks whether he can fight on. He's insisting he will and he's asking for a rematch with Beltran. Prood.....PROOOOD of Ricky. A fine Glesga Irish man.

'I don’t think Ricky’s normal, the way he’s already talking about fighting again.
‘But he’s one of a kind. I’m not saying he’s the most gifted fighter of all time, but he’s one brave kid, as brave as any I’ve met. They’re all tough and have to be because you have to be mad to want to box for a living.

‘But we aren’t talking about an ordinary hairline fracture. It’s a complete break. It’s one thing boxing with that sort of injury for a couple of rounds, but to do so for 10 and take the left hooks that Beltran was landing is nothing short of remarkable.' - Eddie Hearn

How did this compare to Abraham/Miranda? The scorers on here were not making it sound as bad as that fight looked, but if it was clean broken maybe it was?

Burns didn't look as busted up. It wasn't as gruesome to the eye.

    But that x-ray looks bad.

I wonder if Abraham's came through the skin and that's why there was all the blood. No blood for Burns, right?

That x-ray looked really bad. Props to Burns for fighting with it. Without seeing the fight, I would say that his entire performance should have an asterisk next to it. I really wouldn't put anything negative on a guy who fought with that kind of injury for that much of a fight. You're going to do things differently.

    Burns wasn't bleeding.

And agreed. I thought Burns lost, but he gets a pass from me. I look forward to a rematch.

On the flip side, Burns jaw was broken by hard punches to his face. That's a fair loss, even if he could have done better with better luck.

1st & Foremost, REED DIDN'T See this Fight....Still, the DIVERSITY of Post-Fight Opinions is Funny...

REED First Learned the Burns-Beltran Result via Fightnews, which Portrayed the Fight as a ROBBERY;an UNFORTUNATE Circumstance for Beltran...Yet on Fightbeat, the Consensus Welcomes a RE & Would Even FAVOR Burns...

Beltran barely beat Burns and Burns fought the best part of 11 rounds with a snapped jaw bone. Put like that, who would you lean towards in a re?

RICKY RICKY BURNS RICKY BURNS RICKY RICKY BURNS! NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA! RICKY RICKY BURNS RICKY BURNS RICKY RICKY BURNS! NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA!

This does not surprise me, you can tell by the small lift right above his chin that his jawbone is thin on the exterior. He will probably be knocked out soon.

Its both really. His jaw got broken by his fighting stupid, but to win rounds with a broken jaws suggest he MIGHT have won more with a good jaw, but then you are back at square one in that he was fighting stupid to begin with.
Asterisk is probably the fairest solution. Asterisk, recovery, warm-up, rematch, in that order. Whatever happens then will be the time to draw a line under it. Beltran is probably kicking himself he just didn't go for it. In fact, its hard to feel too sorry for either guy. It was there for Beltran, but I as I was constantly pointing out, he just wouldn't let his hands go.
