the other guy just stood there not throwing any punches. rigondeaux beat him up and didnt get hit more than 5 times. if he is in with aggressive opponents he'll win by KO

Rigo is athletic enough to not engage if he doesn't want to.............and he doesn't want to. Same story every fight.

Fuck him! I'm not interested in some asshole who thinks he can Willie Pep his way to winning every round.

he just stood in the center of this ring during the fight for the most part. if he fights guys who open up to take chances they will get dropped and/or KOd.

Rigo is very good but when he fights an overmatched opponent, his fights are very dull. I fell asleep during round 6. Such a contrast from the previous fight...

I don't remember the fight, but didn't Cordoba bring the fight to him and had sucess with it? Bernard Dunne just a few fights before that, showed how to deal with it, but of course he was a much more seasoned pro than Rigondeaux at that point...

You're Criticizing Rigondeaux's Activity, but How Many Punches Per Round Did Agbeko Throw???...

1 Guy Stood in a SHELL All Fight, Completely UNWILLING to Risk ANYTHING, yet You're Blaming Rigondeaux in the Aftermath???...Yes, Rigondeaux's a Natural Counterpuncher, but he's MORE than Willing to Fire Hurtful, KO Inducing Shots, if his Opponent is ALSO Willing to Engage...

It Takes 2 to Tango, Bro...

Yeah, yeah, I hear that after every one of his fucking fights. I guess he's just so much better then everybody else in boxing history, that he doesn't even HAVE to engage, because every one who gets in the ring with him is soooooo fucking scared of him.

    :shit:

Really, 13? Because it FEELS like a lot more.

You know how "The English Patient" was 2 hours and 42 minutes long.........but it felt like 3 weeks? That's how I feel watching Rigondull fight his "scientifically perfect" style.

Not much a fighter can do when his opponents are afraid of him and try not to engage, especially when the fighter's natural inclination is countering

It's the same thing with Donaire in many of his fights... He gets criticized when his opponents won't take any chances

Ironically, Dr Willy Reed sounds like he is describing Wlad vs Ibragimov. We saw who got the blame that night. You at least are consistent in your criticism.

Donaire has gotten slightly worse very recently, but he has never been anywhere near as inactive as Rigonbore. :nono:

REED IS Consistent; Wlad is Just MUCH More SAFETY CONCIOUS than Rigondeaux, Dude...Very Little to NO Holding from Rigondeaux...

Moreso, You're Comparing Wlad, a Guy who Almost ALWAYS has the Size Advantage to Rigondeaux, a Guy who Almost ALWAYS Doesn't???...Really???...

Since You're DOUBTING REED's Consistency, Remind Him of his Criticisms of Wlad, After Haye Bitched Up???...

As Neil, Alluded To, Rigondeaux was LITERALLY Busier than Donaire in just about EVERY Punchstat Category, Nobes...@ the Time, Donaire was "Fighter of the Year" & a CONSENSUS Top 5 Guy, Lb for Lb & Considerably LARGER on Fightnight...

Nonetheless, Rigondeaux MADE HIM Reluctant to Open Up More...That's What Rigondeaux DOES...

Top Rank Definitely Needs to Match him w/More Balls to the Wall Sorts (an Orlando Salido Type @ 122 would Be PERFECT, if Such a Thing Exists), on Occasion, but Rigondeaux IS Trying to Put Some Hurt on Guys, Everytime he Fights...He's NOT Cory Spinks, or Other OVERTLY "Negative" Fighters...

So even though he got schooled, you're trying to tell me that Donaire wasn't the guy who was actually coming forward the entire fight, plodding though it may have been?

Because Rigondoof was out of range at nearly all times, except for the times he'd jump in for his single pot shots and get out.............or straight in and hug until the ref got there.

Is Donaire or any of these other doofs supposed to just throw punches at him for the hell of it. Yes, he's a master of distance and takes zero chances himself. Great, he stands in the middle of the ring and isn't always lunging like other less seasoned leapers. He's not in the pocket either. Bullshit, if you're telling me he's in the pocket.

The onus is always on the other guy?

Fuck you guys, hope you have fun watching him throw 6 punches a round for the rest of his career.

Try and get a non-fan to watch one of his bouts to try to sell them on the sport. They'll spit on you and switch it over to a snooker match instead.

Here's HBO's Punchstats, Immediately After the Fight...

    Total Punches
    82-129 Landed
    352-396 Thrown
    23%-33%

    Power Punches
    64-73 Landed
    214-176 Thrown
    30-41%

w/the Exception of "Power Punches THROWN", Rigondeaux OUT THREW & OUT LANDED Donaire, Across the Board...Punchstats DON'T Always Tell the Story of a Boxing Match, but if your Complaint is the WORKRATE of a Particular Guy, You Can Certainly Use them to Make a Point....

rigondeaux was in the pocket much of the donaire fight and even more of the agbeko fight. i must have missed the parts of the donaire fight when he was hugging until the ref broke them.

i dont try to sell the guy to casual fans. i tell them he is the best boxer on the planet and there is no one around his weight who can beat him. watch him, or dont.

Yeah, thanks REED. I know who won the fight. I never questioned it. It was a near shut-out............ but if you're telling me that a Bantamweight with the activity rate of a very..........very sluggish Heavyweight should get me excited about boxing, no matter how dominant he may be at doing it, I don't know what to say.

GTFOH, he's never in the pocket. Floyd fights in the pocket, Winky fought in the pocket, Chris Byrd fought in the pocket, Roy could exist in the pocket at times if he wanted. Rigondzzzzzzzzzzzzz does NOT fight in the pocket. If he was he would be more active himself, because opponents would at least throw a jab out there every once in awhile.........they don't because it's futile, he's just outside the pocket.
