Rios-Acosta R-B-R thread.

Round 4 was all Acosta. When he is coming forward he is beating the shit out of Bam Bam.

 

Bam Bam put some serious pressure on Acosta that round.

 

This is HELLUVA fight!

Bam Bam needed that on the scorecards. He is putting serious pressure on Acosta.

 

No doubt. Bam Bam is doing a hellava job cutting off the ring and making this a fight. He can't get to Acosta fast enough.

That was a good round for Acosta until the knockdown. He looks tired.

 

Rios is a bad dude.

 

Round 9 was the best of the fight so far. Great round for Acosta hes got heart.

 

Its over holy shit what a performance by Bam Bam.

Arum needs this cat on network tv. That was an incredible effort. I don't think ive ever seen a fighter put pressure on an opponent like that before. Rios is the fucking man.

That looked like a 135lb version of Pavlik's Ko of Taylor. That was brutal.

 

Am I the only one not impressed by Rios? He showed some serious flaws in the first few rounds were Acosta not only was schooling him, but got him on the border of a KO. Any good boxer-puncher will take him out. Sure he is tough, but against even a geriatric Juan Manuel Marquez he will be counting sheeps on the canvas.

Yes. I believe you are the only one not impressed by Rios. His chin, his pressure, his power, his stamina, and his short punching are all impressive.

Bam Bam is alot better than Katsidis, so you'd have to make him a live dog against Marquez... though I think he'd lose.

Other than Marquez though, theres no other lightweight that can beat Rios.

Supposedly Barrera is next for Rios.

Meaning that Barrera and Morales can have thier 4th fight in heaven.

 

Beating a legend will help elevate his star power.

 

Only thing is... I'd kinda fear for Marco's life.

Put it this way... I think Morales has a better shot at beating Maidana than Barrera would have at beating Rios.

Both Morales and Barrera will see thier careers ended brutally this year.
