Double, you are such a jackass.

You truly believe that I am unaware of what the word "Prominent" means??

I asked the qustion "Isn't that a contradiction of terms?" because nobody with any sense takes the WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO seriously... the rankings are so easily manipulated by promoters and special interest that they bear almost no resemblance to reality

"Prominence" generally carries with it the aura of something or someone being meaningful and important to her/his/it's field

The sanctioning body rankings clearly dont mean a whole hell of a lot to knowledgable boxing fans

no. prominence simply implies fame or widespread recognition. something can be prominent without being honest or have integrity.

do you think the so-called evil empire that was the Soviet Union in the 1980's was not a prominent nation?

or that Ted Bundy was not a prominent serial killer?

in any case, it's a worthless argument. the point of the thread is that RJJ can't beat most good fighters in or around his weight class.

The USSR was prominent because it was powerful and to plenty of people it was the truth (the fact that they were misled is beside the point) ... it was TRULY powerful and meaningful

Ted bundy was REALLY GOOD at killing women, so hes prominent

the sanctioning bodies are a joke and everyone who knows boxing is aware of it

Yeah "ranked" fighters basically means fuck all when it comes to quality no matter where sanctioning bodies have them lsited.

They've had literally dead people move up spots for fuck sakes.

    The answer is no.

The guy who started this garbage thread calling others immature?

The rules are pretty clear for the boxing forums. No personal attacks, unless directed at Double L, who is a faggot.

Thanks! Somebody needs to keep things fun around here. Some folks take things far too seriously and get bent out of shape far too easily.

What's immature about this thread Nancy? It's time we accept that RJJ is finished as a real threat.

It is really funny. Dr. Cox is a really obnoxious world weary doctor who spent the first few seasons calling one of the younger male doctors by girl names at all times...much like the way you described in your post.

    Stuff like...

"Excuse, me Angela, do you have those test results I asked for?"

Yes, indeed. Dr. Cox is funny beyond words. I can be pretty sarcastic...but I could never hope to reach the level of snark that Dr. Cox has.
