But Hagler would have become champion earlier in his career if he got the decision over Antuofermo, and thus, in theory, have made more defences, before finally being jobbed by the judges against Leonard.
::... hey, Morales is one of my favorites. I even arranged a family vacation around what I thought would be the final fight of his career (v. Diaz). But he lost that fight.
Dianzo-Ayala is an excellent choice. What's funny is that Neil mentioned it... without actually mentioning it (or at least taking credit for it). Keeping it in Texas... Sergio Reyes/Orlando Canizales (1st fight). Not only was Reyes robbed, but the bogus win landed Canizales in the record books for most consecutive bantamweight title defenses. Reyes was a 10-fight novice going in, and didn't even go .500 for the rest of his career. Some others: Genaro Rios/Wilfredo Vazquez - Rios robbed blind, Vazquez went on to receive career-high payday against Hamed. Rios' reward was two more shots at vacant titles, though on a smaller stage (and much smaller paydays), falling way short on both occasions and serving the rest of his days as cannon fodder. Ali Funeka/Joan Guzman (1st fight) - There might be time for Funeka to still score a career-defining win (not sure Zahir Raheem counts) but should've come in a first fight that even Guzman's handlers not only acknowledge that Funeka won, but that fight probably should've been stopped around the 10th round or so. Mads Larsen/Sven Ottke - In addition to Larsen being horribly promoted throughout his career, this turned out to be his one shot at a title, against a long-reigning titlist. Even worse that this fight is lost in the shuffle thanks to Ottke's next fight, when Ottke teamed up with the ref and the judges to stick it to Robin Reid.
I once had to judge a fight where one of the fighters was someone I briefly managed. There were only two available judges on the night, so I served as the third. Luckily the guy he was fighting was a can (what TN opponent isn't, right?) and he knocked him out in the first round.

Dude, I gotta say: I'm as disturbed as I am amused by your signature. Truly sick stuff - the kind you'd hear in a basement comedy club.
