My friend, no movie can be predicted that will be 'good' or 'bad' before it is made and released. For example, the first 'Fantastic Four' movie gave the impression it was going to be great, but turned out to be really disappointing. Let's not even mention 'Star Wars: The Phantom Menace'.

Yeah, going with a black lead that ain't Denzel? 20 million budget sign off at the most. You'd have better success and acceptance from Hollywood AND America if Rocky went back and found a reason to train Ivan Drago's kid.

America ain't ready for no black hero, not yet. Look we just got the black President I know, but he's light skinned...baby steps people.

Yeah, that'd be great. I agree with Anthony that this could be a good movie. Michael B. Jordan is a pretty hot actor right now.

Rocky movies have never had "a pretty hot actor" in it (unless you count Tommy Morrison). It's more likely to be Milkduds kid, then it is to be Michael B. Jordan.

Considering it's Michael B. Jordan, Hollywood new baby face, Im sure it will be fine. This kid is going to be Human Torch too.

    Then you got:

    Chadwick Boseman playing Black Panther
    Don Cheadle War Machine
    Samuel L Jackson Nick Fury
    Anthony Mackei - Falcon
Idris Elba - Thor, Pacific Rim, Prometheus
The Rock - 99% of his movies he is the hero
    Halle Berry - Storm
John Boyega - Starwars/Attack the block
    Terrence Howard - War Machine
Will Smith - 90% playing the hero
Jamie Fox - Django, White House Down, Collateral
Wesley Snipes - 90% of movies he was the Hero
Eddie Murphy - Playing hero roles

There are many more. Obviously we can address the older folk
    Denzel
    Poitier
    Cuba
    Forrest
    Glover
    Louis Gossett
    Laurence Fishbourn
    James Earl Jones

This, 100% this. It's a shit, good movie. One of the very best examples, in fact (as is Commando).

    Pretty much.

I've seen Commando, The Last Dragon, and Rocky 4 countless times.

I watched Birdman once and that was enough.

Yet another poor choice of the Academy with their politics and undeserving winners.
