Oh man, if you had Hopkins winning you need to stop watching boxing.

Calzaghe was the aggressor, controlled the pace, and landed almost twice as many punches.

Nard won the first 3 rounds, Calzaghe won EVERY round after that.

    9 rounds to 3 Calzaghe.

Thta´s why Joe never fought Ottke in Germany. Same shitty tactical fight, but German judges have more repsect for their countryman unlike Chuck Gayamba.

I didn't see a "fight that could have gone either way."

    I had Calzaghe winning 115-112.

The absolute best I can see is 7-5 in rounds for Calzaghe.

There's a reason Hopkins was looking for point deductions late.

    Peace.

If someone scored that fight for Nard, they seriously need to stop watching boxing.

I like Nard a lot, I thought he swept the first 3, and I honestly thought Calzaghe was doomed, I was sure nard would win. He just looked too crafty.

But shit, as soon as Calzaghe found his rhythm he won every fucking round.

Calzaghe outworked Hopkins to the point that Hops needed to take a break and catch his breath and like you said, look for point deductions as well.

I thought Calzaghe won the 3rd, and I thought Hops won the 6th and 10th because he landed cleaner counters and landed that good lead left hook.

Nevertheless, I had it 8-4 in rounds. Competitive, but clear.

    Peace.

Now we get Roy Jones fighting Calzaghe. His lead right hand is the key to winning the fight :bears:

You know even in those first three shitty rounds I could still see that Calzaghe would win this fight. That's why I suckered fat Joe into betting me. I could still tell he was about to get into a rhythm and come back.

Donny, the 10th was the only round that I had to consider. It was confusing because of the break in the action.

I gave it to Calzaghe, but it could have been a Nard round. He looked fresh after the break

Either way, that fight was 8-4 at worst.

If you scored that fight for nard, you seriously need to stop watching boxing.

It was an ugly fight, but Calzaghe came forward, threw more punches, landed almost twice as many punches, controlled the pace, made nard retreat etc etc.

If Nard won that fight, then Oscar won his fight against Hopkins.

Yep, props for predicting it at that stage.

Even though I picked Joe, the way Hopkins swept the first 3, and Calzaghe looked a bit clumsy, I really thought he would win.

Joe is such a strange fighter. He REALLY needs to find his rhythm. He's either there or he's not, and there's a huge difference between the joe that's in his rhythm or not.

Yet if that was Mosley beating Vargas, Mayweather beating DeLaHoya, or Roy Jones beating Tito, he'd say:

"They're both not at their bests... so neither fighter has an excuse for losing."

The 6th was very close and I thought Hops edged it by countering with clean flurries off the ropes.

The 10th was pretty clear to me, IMHO. After the low-blow break where Hops got quite a breather; I thought it was pretty clear that Hops won that round...Joe took a while to get back into rhythm and in the process took quite a few clean shots from Hops and was inaccurate in return.

As for the rest of the post....I made the same point that it was a clear Calz win, stop copying and pasting that crap. :tease:

Roy Jones would be the cherry

on top of the cake. He is the upper echelon of all boxers, with some of the other younger champions playing second fiddle. It would be a major surprise if Calzaghe could beat jones.
