Hatton would destroy him, in 6 rounds tops. Katsidis would make it a war and try his best, but he would get taken out.

Like him or not, Hatton is an elite fighter. Only floyd has beaten him, the P4P best. Katsidis is not an elite fighter.

 

Hey i didn't pick Kat to beat Hatton. I said he wouldn't knock Kat out. I know Hatton would win.

 

Stop making excuses. I like Katsidis, and dislike Hatton, but I wont let that cloud by judgement. Hatton would beat the shit outta Kat. Ricky is bigger, stronger, quicker on his feet, more skilled(which is saying alot), and has a much better chin. All that translatates into Kat taking a beating, and getting stopped. Trust me... I'd LOVE nothing more than to see Katsidis fuck up Hatton, but it wouldnt happen. Ricky stops him in about 6-7 action packed rounds.

 

Hatton isnt Julian Jackson, but I think your underrating his power if you think he cant stop Casa. Ricky can punch, and Kat's chin is obviously not the best. Graham Earl had him on queer street, and I think its safe to say Hatton hits harder than Graham Earl.

No, that was not a bad call. In fact, Katsidis should have been stopped earlier when he bellydanced his way over to the ref after he first got dropped in the 10th. The rest was superfluous; he was gonna get mauled. He started to eat shots, and the ref decided to save him.

 

Exactly. He totally STUMBLED towards the ref, he clearly didn't have his senses, and didn't regain them when the ref let it continue.

I really don't know what fight dsimon was watching. He seems to think Katsidis was fine and was throwing punches :: :notallthere:

 

Whoever thinks Katsidis was stopped early obviously doesn't watch boxing. Go watch bum fights if you want to see people getting cracked until they die. This is boxing and it's a professional sport, we protect the fighters as best as we can.

I have a question about the Casamayor knockdown.

Casamayor had 10 seconds to get up but does that mean he has 10 seconds to get on his feet or does the 10 seconds include getting fully back into the ring?

I noticed that the ref stopped counting at 8, which is when Casa got back on his feet. However, he wasn't fully back in the ring at that point. It took him another 2 seconds or so to get both feet in the ring.

 

Under most rulings you have 20 seconds to get back into the ring. Which most people don't seem to realise, when referencing Benn - McClellan as being controversial and having a long count.

if you got knocked out of the ring but are still on the apron, like casa was, you have 10 seconds

if you get knocked completely out of the ring, you get 20

 

I would have had no problem had it been stopped then. It looked like the fight was finished at that point, and Schorle was looking very intently at Katsidis. It was obvious he was ready to stop it after one or two more punches.

it looked like he wanted to call it when katsidis did drunken master over to him, but he gave him a chance, he ate a couple more hard shots, the ref saved him

i have no doubt had the ref not stopped it casa would put katsidis on his ass again, and hard

so i have no issue with it
