The heavyweights have sucked for over twenty years now.....that is why guys like Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe and Lewis stood out. Everyone else sucked.

Bottom line is this.....all the other BS aside....the HW division flat out sucks, and has for years.

It has never been that competitive when a really good fighter exists there, i.e. Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, Holmes, Bowe.

The division over the last 50 years isn't any better overall than the Cruiserweight or Lt Heavy. In fact,...it isn't and hasn't been as good.

 

It's not a problem until certain people do it. Just ask Tam opcorn:

What's the big deal? Juan Diaz got beat up tonight, it happens to all fighters sooner or later. Although with Diaz I expected it to happen sooner than later. You can only get so far with his style. His lack of power REALLY hurts him. he showed good heart tonight but the truth is he got his ass royally kicked the 2nd half of the fight which was pretty surprising considering Campbell usually fades.

Oh and IMO the heavyweight fight sucked.

That's why I said Campbell was super-live here...when he's "on" he has the style and workrate and speed to trouble Diaz - and he hits much harder and Juan cannot hurt him.

And when he's on mentally Nate thrives on exchanges. He was psyched about this fight and on form.

Add to that all of Juan's issues....it was the right night for an upset.
