It was much easier than you think. He rarely got hit clean, was never hurt and had FAR FAR FAR more stamina.

    Easy fight..

Judah was harder. De La Hoya was harder..

I know it smarts, but Hatton was exposed as a one dimensional dud. Period.

A good fight! Even through seven rounds and then Floyd took over. When Hatton got hurt he went right at him and that's when Floyd finished him.

Congrats to Floyd and his fans (knowing they would have never done this for Hatton).

For Hatton, he can go back to 140 and still be the man. :dunno:

    Unfortunately, yes.

If you watch close - Mayweather did what Hatton does better than Hatton does.

He was in many ways brilliant.

He controlled the space inside; knew where to clinch and turn Hatton to minimize his effectiveness inside, created his own space for counters at mid and short-distance....and yes, roughed up Hatton with his elbows, gloves and head.

    He have it back hundredfold.

Mayweather looked better than he has against elite opposition in a long time.

    Peace.

Credit to floyd though. He is such a tricky bastard. Impossible to hit clean.

Hatton DID have the style to trouble floyd, he just wasn't quite good enough and undersized.

    Floyd is tough too.

Floyd did it like Arthur Abraham, let the other guys run out of gas on his excellent defense, before using his skills to dismantle him. Luckily the ref stepped in tonight before Abraham could put Elcock away in Gevor fashion. :tease:

Seriously, that's how Floyd seems to alway's win. He alway's waits for the other guy to get a little bit tired, then BAM that's when he goes to town.

Yep. Judah fight was much harder. He had a speed advantage over Floyd. Fatton had a clinch advantage thats it.

Hatton IMHO challenged PBF much more than Judah of Oscar, the style was very different

Yep. Excellent defense...and pinpoint counters and short shots inside.

He was winning rounds even when "letting Hatton tire himself."

Hatton made is ugly as possible...but I had no doubt Mayweather was going to win this one and I'm glad he did....never liked hatton's piss poor style of fighting

his KO of hatton was actually kind of funny

 He warned Ricky throughout the fight for hitting behind the head and on the back, and for holding (though PBF initiated alot of that himself in the early rounds).

When Ricky got FLAGRANT is when the point deduction came.

The elbow is a reaction to the clinch.

Shoulda had a point taken away, but to over-criticize it is out of context.

    Peace.

Did you watch the fight? Hatton landed nothing. Floyd landed everything whenever he threw punches.
