unlikely, he's just not good enough, he was utterly outclassed. he had no idea what to do, i dont expect much to change for the rematch.

the ironic thing is it looked like a light heavy vs a 154 pounder, and thats the only reason chavez even made it to the 12th round

Julio basically saved his career with this, at least in the short term, because before that, he kind of looked like a fraud

I think it's quite likely... When he did throw punches, he hit Martinez... He's never seen movement like that before, never been in with anyone within 10 miles of Martinez in terms of talent or experience... in the 12th, he damn near took him out... what happens in the rematch? Does he not come in with the same size advantage you are saying is the reason he lasted? Of course he does... All other things, such as weight, being equal, it would be crazy to think he can't fight a little better, let his hands go a little more... Do you think Martinez can fight better than he did tonight? I don't think he can at all... He was as sharp as he's ever been, better than he's been on most occasions.

my HBO option kept freezing up, so I was forced to watch a British feed with an American announcer who had the worst announcer voice in history and kept referring to it as "ONE OF THE GREATEST FIGHTS OF ALL TIME" BEFORE​ the only dramatic round of the fight, the 12th

 

yeah now imagine what he wouldn't be able to accomplish vs. guys his own size...guys like Dawson, Ward, Froch and Bute...

 

Fantastic 12th round, but what a one-sided contest that was. Martinez owned Junior. Junior was extremely disappointing and overall, he's ugly and he's shit.
