Right/left to the body by Maussa, left uppercut by Ortiz, right to the head by Ortiz. Jab,jab by Ortiz, long right hand by Maussa, another. Right to the body by Maussa...long looping right by Maussa landing but they don't seem to have much. Left/right to teh body by Ortiz, STRAIGHT LEFT to the chin of Maussa, down goes MAUSSA.......5....6...7....8.....9...It's OVER!!!!!

Maussa got fucked up.

A hell of a punch. Knocked him out and cut him at the same time.

 

That punch was a scratch..it didn't land solid...but Maussa is CUT..under the eye..

Cruz stalking and missing with the jab/right hand...LEFT HOOK down GOES CASAMAYOR..He gets UP quickly...but it was more off balance/slip. Cruz stalking..Jab/left hand by Casamayor backs Cruz off.

Both throwing touchy jabs both trying to land big rights(Cruz, or straight left Casamayor)..Jab,jab,jab by Cruz not landing but Casamayor is moving away/circling. Missed jabs/right hand by Cruz, but Casamayor does nothing, left hook/right hand by Cruz catching Casamayor on the ropes, but Casa throws back..

Round 1: Cruz 10-8

Based on what I'm seeing, Casamayor won't win the fight and probably won't go the distance.

They meet in the middle of the ring...Cruz comes out jabbing, long jabs by Casamayor staying outside and moving, trying to counter Cruz's punches. Right to the body by Cruz, Casamayor using alot of movement, straight left by Casamayor. Cruz keeps stalking, clinches from Casamayor everytime Cruz gets near.

Jab/left to the body by Casa clinch, right to the body by Cruz while Casa clinch. Right hand by Cruz, straight left by Casa CLINCH, rights to the body by Cruz. Jab/left by Casamayor blocked, right hand by Cruz, left to the body by Cruz, clinch by Casamayor.

Round 2: Santa Cruz

 

Looks like it. I thought Casamayor would be able to take Cruz apart with counterpunching, but he´s just holding.

 

Casamayor is a shot fighter, with no balance, he's falling all over the place inside in clinches.
Steward said he is not a champion, and I agree.
