I thought he was going to claim he got hit in the back of the head the way he went down.

WK is so damn boring and sloppy.

I'm happy for him having done so well since he is truly a standup man but at this point I'd really just like to see him get his chin cracked hard again and put to sleep for the full 10 count.

It's a real shame that this was a heavyweight championship fight.

Fighting better in this case too means obviously fighting in exciting manner. Since Wlad won almost every round before the KO, he can't really do much better

Fuck that. That wasn't boxing. That was some sad, spawn of UFC fighting discipline.

Cortez and every referee who allows that shit without deducting points should be chopped up and fed to small, starving children in Burma.

Sure, but pulling up fouls means that Fraud would lose his entire system of defence, and we cant have that... :nono:

Your hatred toward Wladimir in this thread is unparalleled. [IMG]

Exactly. It would be awesome to see him fight Povetkin without a single clinch or trying to wear down Valuev with his clinches. It´s not surprising a fighter with Wlads offense can rule the heavyweight division with his grappling tactics, when Ruiz held a world title forever with half the offense.

God the heavyweights are just awful to watch.

Haye, if anything, can bring some excitement to the division (The division is SO bad that people hyping up Arreola for godsake!). Haye, in the very least, can crack and has the personality to stir some shit up. Not particularly impressed by his actual boxing skills, but everybody loves/hates a shit talker with heavy hands. A fight between Haye and Wlad would be exciting simply because people will watch either to watch Wlad get caught or Haye get KTFO. It would be great either way

I have hate in my heart. I can't even pretend otherwise.

I used to actually like Wlad at one time. After Emmanuel took him over he's lost less but he's become a completely unwatchable fighter.

He's very talented but that chin is definitely his downfall regarding his present fighting style. If only he had Vitali's chin he'd be much better off.

What I don't understand about fighters who are in the hurt business don't try and hurt their opponents. Why take a fight if u aren't going to try and be a fucken animal in the ring. Thompson attempted to pressure Clit but he never through anything wit bad intentions. What the fuck is that. That's like a basketball team getting a fastbreak and then pulling the ball out and then going into a prevent offense. Makes no sense to me. And what was he telling his corner to trust him? He never went into a mode of desperation. Also I knew he was gonna quit when he got up limping after Clit tackled him. If he was gonna be hurt it should have been his shoulder or back and not his knee. I'll Holla 5000

Yeah right that was not no fucking desperation mode. That was give up mode. Like I said the shot he got hit wit was a weak ass punch compared to some of the other shots he got hit with. And no Thompson was not ko'd by a punch he didn't see and nor did he receive such a 1 sided beat down that he was stopped due to the accumulation of blows. The dude gave up menatally and said to himself the first semi-hard shot I receive I'm going down and will take a 10 count. I'll Holla 5000

Seemed like a pretty solid shot to me, and yes he did open up just prior to getting tagged.

It sure as hell wasn't Klit who opened up first.

Either way, I wouldn't mind seeing Thompson fight another Top 10 guy. I'm kind of intrigued by him. He didn't have too much for Klit after the first 4 rounds or so but he is a spoiler type.

I think he thought he was going to tire Klit down towards the end of the fight but the clinching, pushing down and driving across the ring by Klit wore him down instead.

I'll give Klit this.............he's had much better stamina since the first Brewster fight.

Wlad has a very bad habit he needs to work on. When someone throws punches at him, instead of keeping hands glued to his chin and using head movement, he stiffens up and holds both arms out trying to swat down the punches. It's the same bad habit that got his ass KO'd by Sanders.

For the love of god, teach this guy to move his head!
