No, to be clear, I am talking about the 2nd fight between Tate and Rousey. Tate took a huge right hand to start the 3rd and basically quit. No question about.

And you are correct, most places have Meisha as #1. All I'm saying is that Zingano beat her head to head. And despite Meisha's protest, she was done. If the ref hadn't saved her, Zingano would have continued to unleash punishment. At that point Meisha had nothing for Cat. It was done. I was rooting for Tate. I hate early stoppages. But I had no issue with that one. The ref, Kim Winslow, who I detest, did a fine job.

It doesn't really matter. Meisha has earned her way back to #1 while Cat hasn't fought since the Rousey loss. I have no problem with Tate-Rousey 3.

yeah i just dont see her quitting in the second rousey fight. I see her just getting beat.

I would actually prefer cat/tate and rousey/Cyborg on the same card.

Nobody and she seems ruined by Rousey but that doesn't make my statement untrue, does it?

I think it does. McMann isnt a top 3 win for tate. And she shouldnt mentioned as a who's who when describing someone's opponent.

McMann is still one of Tate's top 3 wins. I put her at 2 behind only Coenen.

If you consider rankings and positioning, McMann was Tate's most important win to date.

I actually have Zoila in Tate's top 3 wins not mcmann. . Loved watching her fight. McMann has really beaten nobody of substance

Frausto was a fine fighter but at 115 pounds. Her win over Megumi Fujii snapped the best win streak in women's MMA history. But Frausto was an absolutely meaningless win for Tate at 135 pounds.

If the slam against McMann is that she hasn't beaten anyone of substance, it seems pretty odd to rank Frausto as a top 3 win for Tate considering Frausto didn't beat anyone even remotely of note at 135 pounds.

Baszler, Murphy, Gaff and Akono are 4 decent wins on McMann's resume at 135 pounds. I'm curious about even one notable name on Frausto's resume at 135?

It's obviously subjective and I dig your opinion.

I wasnt limiting the argument to 135. I was talking general as a fighter of substance. Something Mcmann is not. I am also not limiting the argument to how she was at the time tate fought her, but her career in general. If we were to talk about fighters many years after tate has retired type of discussion.

On a completely side note. How long before the UFC cuts McMann in your opinion?

So based on that rationale, BJ Penn could be the biggest win on Lyoto Machida's resume. I would respectfully disagree.

To answer your question, I think McMann will likely retire before the UFC cuts her. I think the Rousey loss destroyed McMann mentally. She looked completely ready to quit against Nunes after she attempted one takedown that Nunes stuffed. As Joony mentioned, McMann isn't a kid anymore. I think she'll realize that she doesn't have another title run in her future and call it quits.

I think BJ is possibly the most overrated fighter in the history of the sport so I disagree too.

I could see mcmann in Bellator getting some wins and earning some money.

BJ was in his prime years in that fight. He was still a fat natural lightweight fighting a fat natural light heavyweight. There were some fun striking exchanges, but BJ had no business fighting at heavyweight.

Agree. It is exactly like Tate beating a 135 pound Frausto. Frausto was good in the Tate fight at 135 pounds but really had a great career and big wins at 115 pounds.

No woman can beat Rousey. For her to find a suitable opponent she'll have to take on men.
