I hope that's not true! The limited crap I heard from it sucked. Roy's not a rapper. What the hell was there to rap about in Pensacola?

I don't get this thread ??? Sure, I expected a little more from a guy who probably made in excess of 100 millions in his career but it's still on hell of an house

I dont think he is saying the house is bad, i think he is saying that Roy doesnt have this kind of money anymore. It seems like he was bad with his money.

Money don't buy the sense to keep it (or taste - what a gaudy eye sore of a house)

Roy has to feel some kind of depression knowing how he had it like this and now he doesn't. I remember how he said he wanted to get out of the fight game with respect and a legacy. He has a legacy, you can't take away what he has accomplished in his great career; however, respect? For a guy who at least sounded intelligent at times, it's a disappointment to see him at this stage in his life/career.

    Will Floyd follow suit?

Just our contemporary fighters: Tyson, Holyfield, Hearns, Jones, Bowe just to name a few. These guys blew their money.

On the other hand, at least from what we know so far, Leonard, Hagler, De La Hoya, Lewis and Michael Spinks have done well, to name a few.

The latter list of fighters are more intelligent than the former. That's not a coincidence.

Yep. Although to be fair, ten years ago I probably would have grouped Roy in with Leonard, Hagler and Lewis rather than Tyson, Holyfield and Bowe.

And as fate would have it, Mike is making his way back to the right side of the partition. Hopefully, with his new found wisdom he can stay there and flourish.

In a morbid irony, I believe the death of Mike's daughter may have steered him back onto the right track. It's strange how a guy who has known tragedy for almost of his life, does not learn his lesson, yet, gets it together when his own child dies tragically.

Yeah, hopefully Mike can find a little peace. Have a feeling a lot of his new act is for show, and he's probably heavily medicated, but hopefully he can live out his years fairly peacefully.

It's obvious Floyd will be broke soon enough. He spends money like we breathe air.

As a very general rule, any athletes who are heard to frequently describe themselves as a "Bidness Men" are destined to end their lives potless and destitute and with only a few of the 50 or so brain-cells with which they started their respective careers.
