damn that sucks. i hope he retires and finds another way to make money, but if he's gonna continue to fight, then he might as well go to australia and fight mundine for a big payday rather than some unknown russian who will probably hurt him bad.
IRS bankrupted Joe Louis, Beau Jack and other boxers for not paying taxes in War Bond bouts in which they donated their entire purses to the US Government.
Some of you are making it sound like it's the IRS's fault that RJ didn't pay his taxes. Poor RJ, the IRS is picking on him. Give me a break. I found out I owed over 26k on my federal taxes this year. I had to take a 10 year home equity loan out in order to pay it. Over $300 a month I will be paying for 10 years with nothing to show for it. It's not the IRS's fault though and I wouldn't ever blame them. It's my stupid fault for not having enough tax taken out. RJ, or at least his accountant, must have known about this income. Even if it "trickled" in, you still know about it. It's their fault and their fault alone that they didn't claim it on their taxes.
What the hell is wrong with these dumb asses??? All of these so-called, wanna be important hanger-ons and no one is an accountant or knows one??? These idiots have lawyers drawing up contracts for them, etc... but no one knows how to get in touch with an accountant? In Floyd's case, that Leonard Ellerbe character tries to look and sound so freaking educated and important, but yet, his guy, who he always claims to do EVERYTHING for is in tax trouble?
nah, you're the tool, who hold celebrieties, athletes and pop icons to higers regards than regular folks.Exactly the kind of person who, in the middle age, would really think that royalty's blood was blue.
Its not about being a dumb ass, its very easy to not pay the IRS when you have that money. The more investments or homes you own the worse it is.
