I agree. It seems his quest is more to make money and be exciting than be a p4p type guy who is less exciting, but more dominant. It's more fun this way, but a lot harder to get past Rigondeaux on real p4p lists.

Agree, but I don't think it's even a question right now. Canelo has a much better chance.

Canelo's stamina is the biggest reason why he won't beat GGG.

The biggest reason is because he's mediocre at elite level, and Gaybox is better in every single way.

I guess i will be the only one here that thinks cotto has a much better shot at beating GGG than Guillermo Wallace.

Cotto, historically, does better against boxers than pressure fighters. There is no way in Holy Hell that he's gonna cope with GGG's relentless pressure and power. Not to mention, he's a much smaller man.

Canelo is the opposite of Cotto. He can't handle good technical boxers, but does well when guys come at him. Plus, he's a bigger man than Cotto.

Meaning, he has a slightly better chance than does Cotto.

I think GGG would take out Cotto in under 5 rounds.

Canelo? I think he grinds down, beats to a pulp and stops in about 9.

Prior to Canelo vs GGG, I'd like to see Canelo vs Lemieux.

Stamina is Cotto's only problem. If he had the stamina of Margarito, he would outbox GGG. But he doesnt. So he would eventually get caught.

I don't doubt it's true, but doesn't change the fact that if Golov stepped up to 175 and fought Kov, that Kov would beat him like a cheap whore.

REED Most Certainly DOUBTS it's True...

If GGG Could Drop a Man 2 Weight Classes BIGGER, Rocking 14 or 16 oz. Gloves, Why WOULDN'T He Move Up a Mere 8 lbs to CHALLENGE Himself, as Opposed to Fighting Non-Descript Opposition, Wasting Time, Waiting on SMALLER Guys to Move Up to Him???...

1st, REED Heard GGG Knocked Kovalev Out COLD, but Now Kovalev was "Dropped w/a Bodyshot"???...REED "Musta Forgot"...

Yeah, Cotto beats up a one legged corpse of Martinez and suddenly he's Carlos Monzon.

Is this the first time in fightbeat history that these so-called marquee fighters, {the sorts that have forged a lucrative reputation by dragging midgets up to face them, by cutting weight and then regaining it in short order, or by moving up to face hamstrung, weight-drained fighters} have found themselves commended and applauded, while the one guy who is happy to fight at his normal weight is pilloried and mocked and insulted and told to go and fight Godzilla....:dunno:

Bernard Hopkins cemented his shitty reign at 160 by fighting a guy who came up from Welter. Lest we forget.

Haglers most memorable dance at 160 was.........against a guy coming up from Welter.

Yet when Golovkin asks fatty Alvarez Arbuckle to weigh in at what he fights at................no dice.

There's no chance Cotto would outbox GGG. Golovkin is better, he does things I have never seen Cotto do, the way he takes away his opponents jab is brilliant. The arm pinning and smothering also. He's so much better technically than he gets credit for, I like Cotto and he's a good fighter but he just isn't as good a boxer as Golovkin.

Bernard Hopkins MOVED UP and WHIPPED Antonio Tarver, When that MEANT Something...Not to Mention Kelly Pavlik, Jean Pascal, Tavoris Cloud, etc...MOST were Afraid the Ol' Man was In OVER his Geriatric Head, Prior to those Bouts...He Also Faced Arguably THE Greatest Supermiddle Ever, @ '75 and Went the Distance w/Kovalev, for Chrissakes...

GGG has Yet to Accept a Task Even 1/8th as Daunting as What Bernard Has...

Sorry, but there's Really NOfuckingCOMPARISON btwn the 2...

Yeah but his reign at middleweight was bloody shocking. I rate the Tarver win, it's the best of his career IMO but it's irrelevant when we're discussing Hopkins reign at 160 which was littered with bums for the most part.

    Precisely.

Reed has conflated two separate issues with one another.

    1. Hopkins at 160.

    2. Hopkins after 160.

Hopkins biggest fights at 160 were against Trinidad and De La Hoya.

    CASE. CLOSED.
