Seems Mike was $60m in debt when he signed the Francis fight in 2000 and the fight was all about getting money to pay down his debts.

It's mad. The Tyson fight was the financial apogee of Francis career. But for Mike it was all about paying off debts.

Julius was only a 16-1 underdog for the Tyson fight. He earned over £500k in today's money for the Tyson fight. No way he should be working at Boxpark. No way. House prices were much lower in 2000 and would go on a bender for the next 8 years.

I agree this was a street fight. Don't expect Francis to go by the Queensbury boxing rules. If youve ever been in a street fight You don't let a hostile man invade your personal space. Once they swing or Flex on You theyve asked for it. And deserve whatever they get.
