It'll be good to see how he fairs in the Premier League. I'll be keeping a close eye on him and hope he does well. He's out injured at the moment so may not see him play until September or even October.

Barring something weird happening i cant see him doing anything but solidly well, he's just a quality all round player - pace, awareness, decision making, delivery, tackling, dribbling, fitness, mentality all rock solid. He's head and shoulders above the pack here the way van dijk and wanyama were i spend half the time at games just watching him and 'ohh awwww' ing. Its a heartbreaker to lose him, tbh.

His performance vs liepzig got some arsenal fans attention apparently. Press mute

We get a boy with a superb Irish name, loves the club, plays lights out and he's gone before you know it... because in this crazy modern world, the history and the hallowed ground are worthless commodities

The only bright spot is we lose him to a real club instead of shite like Southampton or Norwich

Arsenal aren't even an exciting team or a nice part of London.

The kid is a talent for sure. I'm seriously impressed and being a left-footer myself, I'm a fan. This will be a big challenge for him but I see no reason why he can't do well over here.

No Mane, which isn't a massive shock. Origi comes in. I'm tempted by him 1st goalscorer.

Norwich created openings and had chances but couldn't convert. Liverpool have taken over. Hopefully Alisson's injury isn't serious.

Norwich score. Again another well timed run but this time they convert the chance.

Mostarda on the misbehaviour trend again I see.

    I give Liverpool a B- tonight.

Norwich by the way are probably nowhere near the worst side in the league by a long chalk. I think they are better than Fulham were for example.

Liverpool clearly don't have their full fitness back yet and they left a lot of gaps.

Liverpool could have scored more, so could have Norwich. I was quite impressed with Norwich going forward and their style is refreshing, but it is risky too. I'd rather see a team stick to their guns and play a style that works for them and if Norwich are to continue playing that way, they'll be involved in many exciting games. But there's no doubt that they're going to be in a relegation fight. They haven't spent much really so to get where they are now deserves respect. They have a very inexperienced side in terms of owning players who have experience of playing in the Premier League though. Fulham claimed seven wins last season. I honestly think that Norwich may well struggle to match or surpass that.

Its an issue for me. When i was a kid 8-11 members every starting line up would be local or irish lads who grew up supporting the team; and that was probably too many and held us back (as it holds athletico bilboa back) but now there're far too few. Mikey johnstone, jamie forrest, they might be it right now. It was a big part of the reason i was so pissed off we penny pinched and lost John mcginn who was another guy who grew up going to every match and wouldve sweat jungle love . We're trying to compensate by packing the backroom with guys like mcmanus, kennedy, duff, mccart, maloney, willie mcstay, tam o'neil, etc but i'd have us pay a premiem - even in trophies- to maintain a kernel of active players who also get it and who the fans know get it

Exactly... it's an undeniable aspect of the club's identity and the identity of the supporters ... Irishness in the ethnic /cultural sense is clearly a prominent component

Yeah, they're solid picks. You had to look at the ownership % for both prior to kick-off to tell you that you need both in your team, just so that you can remain in the mix, if your other picks have scoring potential too. I decided to go with Robertson too over TAA and after seeing last night's game, TAA could be the pick of the two, even though there was nothing between them last season. TAA looks to be a man on a mission though and he really impressed me going forward.
