I used to spend half my time at games just watching him, his decision making was spooky, its like he was Nic Cage in that crap movie where he can glimpse short periods into the future. And this is mostly against Spl knockers so he just so far ahead. Add on to that his sheer commitment and physical strength, like you elusde to. Some lad

I remember a few yrs ago, you used to.joke about a Celtic player and always reference "his handsome face."

Was that him or another player?

    Paraphrasing Arlo White from Sunday:

"This guy is just a footballer through and through. You know if he wasn't a professional player, he'd be on his way to a Sunday league game with his boots in a plastic bag."

Seems like we've gradually regressed from 'european champions league' to 'big 5 leagues' to big two leagues plus Munich & PSG? Give it another decade we'll probably be able to skip the whole tournanent altogether and just stick the two teams we know will beat everyone else straight into the final

So the round of 16 had:

    4 from Germany
    4 from Spain
    3 from England
    3 from Italy
    1 from France
    1 from Portugal

    Germany lost 2, 2 through
    Spain lost 3, 1 through
    England got all 3 through
Italy had all 3 wiped out
    France got their 1 through
    Portugal got their 1 through

Hidden Lead: Man United, currently vying for 2nd in the PL, got smashed in the gruppen-stages by a team that just got eliminated by struggling Liverpool.

Atletico were terrible last night. Absolutely awful.

Tonight is the club formerly known as AC Milan vs Ushited.

Aging is a motherfucker. It's hard to not look at the man and forget you are staring at the same guy, in many ways.

Albeit I wonder how far does a man need depart from his more virile forms before he is no longer "That man".

It is after all Body and Soul, and if your body goes totally, your Soul must go with it, a bit.

I wonder what keeps him alive. Apart from all the interventions and pills and shit. What is a mans mentality at that age.

Also Rangers is a pretty fucking dead place. Their big win turned into a big fucking confrontation with the entire planet.

    SEVCO, Still Evincing Victimhood COnstantly.

Not all that long ago it would have be considered a marquee matchup worthy of a final. Now it's almost irrelevant.

I saw the first leg and they both gave of the smell of Elite Sides.

    But the thing is.........perspective/context.

Gatti vs Ward always looks brilliant until you see Gatti or Ward versus somebody else, or Ray Robinson fighting Fullmer.

The AC Milan side of 1989, 1990........was fearsome in the most effortlessly understated fashion.

It's a bit like luxury brands that are able to sell inferior goods because their name is associated with quality even if their products went downhill.

Aye its a good question. By sheer coincidence this post is is my monkey-mind distracting me from reading a chapter on the topic of the illusory nature of self in a book on buddhism by evolutionary psychologist robert wright. Both he and the Buddha say: auld Phil ain't the same guy at all.

Yeah but they replenish with fresh blood every now and then.

US? No chance, unless you got $$$ for Test and HGH.

Just looking at my covid hair here today, never thought my beautiful soft brown tresses would be so rough and brown. My beautiful designer stubble with my beautiful barbarossa chin.....all gone.

Still very very happy for 42, still have my cock hard when I wake up, but it's not quite the same.

A shave used to knock 10 years off now. Now it's barely holding back the tide.

I mentioned this a couple of years ago. I always cheer for English teams to reach the quarterfinals in the CL & EL. As well as Scottish clubs if they're still in it. Just to make interesting matchups. Though with no fans in attendance, the matchups created are less interesting.

But once they hit the quarterfinals, I cheer for them to lose. Especially if like this season, Everton are around the top seven. I can't have any free rides eliminating a European spot. There are some exceptions. Man City are obviously in the CL next season no matter what. So whether I cheer against them or not will depend on who they play.

What the hell was Gabriel arguing after that Olympiakos goal?

It looked like he wanted their goal disallowed because it hit his arm.

We do at all times need to acknowledge scumbaggery where it exists........but, and I do not mean to engage in whataboutery, that place [generally] was a warzone as recently as 1999.

After the Goodison incident, I followed some if the discussions on youtube. The Croatians don't seem to get that England has changed since the early 80s. It doesn't seem like a difficult concept but they don't get it.

And Everton still does have a good size mob (see the Millwall-Everton incidents from a couple of years ago.) The ultras probably could have set something up with them if they wanted violence. Instead of attacking staff, destroying seats and fences, trying to set fires and yelling at a crowd of middle aged men and women that are their with their kids to bring it on.
