I mean global warming is no joke but we should be spending as much again on insuring against astroid strikes.

There is something mesmerising about impending doom...

 

I have been hooked on NHK lately. They've been doing a lot of shows on the big Tsunami they had ten years ago.

They were talking about a whole town that basically got wiped out between Fukushima & Sendai. The employees of a bank all went on to the top of an 18 story building thinking they'd be safe. Eventually they were all swept away and died (or are officially missing.) I was thinking how terrifying that must have been seeing the water rise to that level quickly and beginning to realize that it's all over.
