Most the shop frontages are better than the real ones they've replaced. They started filming today - the parade has a pipe band playing scotland the brave which is an interesting choice in the circumstances

So they're using that for the film?

Apparently, aye? Impressive bravado...'oh you think we can't make people believe Glasgows is nyc, eh? I see your skepticism and raise you one scottish pipe band playing Scotland the brave!'

I wasn't there obviously, just wondering if maybe they were playing it as a warmup and for onlookers or something and then using a different tune for the film. The title itself didn't sound familiar but i had a listen on youtube and know i've definitely heard it before somewhere. Maybe it is something played in America for some events? Some police and military funerals feature bagpipe music and i'm guessing they aren't all new songs created by and for Americans but not even sure about that either. Possibly cdogg would know the answer.

Lol. You shouldnt judge a country based on one person but i do know a latvian lassie and she does fit this profile. She makes eyeor the donkey seem effervescent...cheerful small talk, a wee smile, you might as well demand her wallet. And her name's 'malvina' too which sounds like some sort of disney villianess....queen malvina the miserable, long ago exiled from the ice plains of latvia

The high school I went to was Highland High School (just like in Beavis & Butthead) and our nickname was The Scotsman.

Our fight song was "Highland The Brave" which was a knockoff of "Scotland The Brave."

Perhaps she's worried it's a trick. She shows some sign of happiness and it's off to gulag?

It's a small world. Just bumped into a Patrick Barclay (biographer and football guy)coming down the road more than merry.

Had a good jaw with him up to his street about the online abuse ,supporting England, liking personally but disagreeing politicaly with Galloway on Israel, good pubs in the area, the part of Scotland he's from etc.

At the end he shook my hand and said how my pulling alongside on my bike for the final 1000 yards or do had been a great end to his evening.

    Seems a nice chap.

Is that why the identity of Saucy Jack hasn't been revealed? Been hired and working in London to cover up the story? Getting free lodging in exchange for your silence and obfuscation?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Indonesian Liga 1 games have been postponed. If you were looking forward to seeing Persita Tangerang take on Persib you'll have to wait.

However in Argentine Primera C action today Ituzaingó takes on Dock Sud so there's still something to watch.

I'd rather watch Bristol Manor Farm play Brightlingsea Regent.

I have a thing for football clubs that sound like bed and breakfasts.
